Morality is a subjective term, I think.

Maybe a Coronation Street fan might remember the story in more detail.

you see what i'm talking about, buce? if a person is a pathological liar, lying won't really weigh on his conscious, but that doesn't mean he is not a liar.
what you see wrong, others see right, that's why i put morally incorrect between quotation marks

Some very interesting points in there, such as:-

In England and Wales today, one woman is killed every three days by a current or former intimate partner.

I agree that 'crimes of passion' should always be considered in sentencing, as I think the majority can agree that a sudden and temporary loss of control is vastly different to a calculated and planned attack. The problem however I guess is that it's probably a bit of a can of worms situation for allowing jealous ex's to attempt to justify their actions in order to get a reduced sentence. Anyway, providing that it never becomes a complete defence then I do believe it is an important part of the law.

Whereas:-

Number of child murders falls to lowest figure since records began

Well, on face value that was the question you were asking - but I was more referring to this post below. Happy for you to expand on it further but I can't really see what else you're implying here?

But he asked a fair and unloaded question and then gave his views later on.

And I was responding to that view with my post?

So can you show me where I have suggested that a person shouldn't have the right to exist as they please?

I have said no such thing. In fact as far as I can see no one on here has.

I was responding to the specific soap storyline, foxy - I have no idea whether or not the character in question felt her omission was immoral or not.

I didn't say you said it, I said you implied it. As I say, feel free to expand on what you actually meant by that post, but the conclusion I drew from it was that the only way you can believe a trans woman is a woman is if you want to date one yourself.

Its pretty obvious. Would you date an attractive female given the chance? Yes.

Would you date an attractive trans given the chance? If not, why not if you consider them the same?

Good, so we are agreement I didn't say it. If someone doesn't want to believe someone born male can be a woman that is their choice to do so, it doesn't mean if they hold that view they don't believe they have the right to exist and believe it themselves.

@the fox is so right here, these days it isn't enough to just hold a different viewpoint even if it means you are indifferent to an action or a belief, you do have to get in line, cheer it along or you'll be slandered with isms, phobias and everything you say will be twisted in an attempt to misrepresent your opinion until you comply with the viewpoint of those who demand society sees them as right.

The old bigoted intolerance we used to see is being replaced by a new intolerance that tries to control freedom of thought through pressure, this is just as repressive and tyrannical as what decent people orginally fought against.

I first had my suspicions about Mrs CF when she followed me into the mens toilet .....     sex is obviously very different ...   but we've made a fist of it.

Well, because one's own sexual preferences and how you view someone else's gender are two separate issues. Fair enough, the poll at face value is a point for reasonable debate, but from the post I quoted there only seemed to be an interest in exposing alleged hypocrisy based on extremely flawed logic.

For some people it is about the person and not whether they are male or female and sometimes people are born in the wrong bodies and want to become who they truly believe they are. it is a very difficult thing for people to get their heads around particularly for men who believe everything in terms of black and white and like to act all macho as if they have no feelings. that said I would find it extremely difficult like anyone to date a woman that used to be a man.

If they look feminine and have the correct number of holes then I don't see the problem.  I'd definitely admit to being superficial about it in much the same way I wouldn't date a girl with a face wrecked by collagen injections. Would probably have to gag the one I mentioned earlier in the thread mind you now that I've had more time to think about it lol

and that's why i said "like many other topics like this".and i wasn't talking about just this forum. alot of people aren't happy with just "whatever", because "whatever" will be seen as a unapproval and from there people will start speculations.

go on social media, not baking a cake that says "go for gay marriage" will make you a homophobe

Don't go on social media then. There's no law that says you have to cheer on other people for anything. Seems like you're just seeking out views you don't like, exaggerating them in your own mind and then using that as a largely fictional point from which to argue strongly in the other direction. In reality, there is literally nobody who you need to listen to telling you that you must cheer on transsxuals.

Growing up, I always thought transsexuals were for bi men/women, as they like both. I still say that to people and even the most liberal think about it for a while and don't try and argue to hard.

I met an attractive one at uni, apparently been transitioning from 14 and not remotely manly in any sense, but my family is massively homophobic and I just thought they could never meet her so how would it realistically work, plus I don't like penises.

Tbh, @MattP, I think the question is too vague and ambiguous.

I think (and correct me if I'm wrong) you mean would you have a sexual relationship with a transsexual?.

Edit: Actually, James put it better than I did.

And can we clarify whether or not the wife is likely to find out?
