Surprise find of this evening is 1936 from Switzerland.

Never had the Swiss down as a decent beer-producing nation, but this pilsner was far from neutral when it comes to flavour.

Jesus Christ lol lol lol :worship:

No beer drunk here recently, but I saw this morning on SSN adverts that Erdinger were advertising their beer with Klopp as the central person. Is this their first foray into UK advertising? I've seen it on ASDA's shelves but I don't know if they've ever pushed into the market here before, or whether I'm well out of the loop. Tbh I'm just curious when I see beers being advertised I haven't seen before, like when Maltsmiths plastered themselves everywhere a little while ago.

Probably someone like Heineken have got the distribution rights and want to push it across the UK.

Also had this which was delicious, I’m aware it’s sideways.

Are sour beers any good? Don’t think I’ve ever had one and they sound curious enough

Some can be pretty nice. The strawberry fields one I mentioned about is probably the nicest I’ve had because it is very strawberryy. Tiny Rebels rhubarb custard is worth a try as well but they aren’t for everyone.

More of a fan on the Lambics when it comes to sour beer. In particular Cantillon

They are unreal. Had a few when I was in Brussels the other year.

That one I had yesterday was amazing. I think the fruit based ones are a good starting point. The first sip will be a bit weird but you get used to it and then you can start to enjoy it. Weird how beer comes in so many different styles.

Stewart Brewing.

Will check it out. Yet to have a bad beer with the word 'Gold' in its name. But then I've never tried Foster's Gold...

I’ve never seen it before but being in Edinburgh I thought I’d try it and wasn’t disappointed.
