Its a complete joke  people saying  give him time we have the players to have easily won the last four home games instead we got 3 lucky draws and one lose so from 12 points we got 3 its not good enough.

I don't get it why can't we turn on from the start. Puel should be there screaming at them and motivating if they feel too complacent ('oh we are top 8 team isnt that grand'). He should drill them to dominate opposition at home instead we seem to play for a 0-0 draw. It's like he and the players are speaking different football language. And so far the majority of the players have a hard time to adjust to 'puelball'. If he won't inject them with the URGENCY and plant in more attacking mindset then next season is going to be a very long and painful one.

When he came in last year his it was like a breath of fresh air but now it's stale again, honeymoon long forgotten and players sleepwalking through the pitch every first half.

Needed to keep Slim and play him at home instead of Vardy. Vardy scored today but he is barely involved and teams sit back.

We need a proper number 10 and finally bin Simpson

Yeah, pretty much this. Vardy can't and won't break down a team sitting deep and forcing us to play wide.

But then I keep hearing here that Slim was a grade A a-hole hated by most of the team, which was constantly disproved on the pitch every time he scored a goal.

The owners should be having a discreet word with Rafa now asking him if he's interested next season.

The performances at home have been poor.

So many things wrong with our general play and tactics.

I never have understood why we cross the ball into the box when we are only aiming at Vardy.

We have no target man so a pretty pointless tactic.

Its not one of our strongpoints at all I don’t get why we are persevering with it, Newcastles keeper caught everything with ease.

The amount of players today just standing when one of the defenders had the ball I lost count how many times that happened in today’s game.

A passing/possession game requires constant movement to make yourself available for a pass.

Something we require a lot of time on learning as it’s not really working.

Our high press has stopped and teams come to the KP and have it easy.

Wether Puels tactics are falling on deaf ears, or just the players are not good enough to change to the style he wants I’m unsure.

Take away the last 10 mins it’s like we looked clueless on how to change the game in any way.

Jurys still out for me, as it’s been a real mixed bag of performances with Puel in charge.

we are 8th in the league this season, Puel has had a good first season. We are way off getting relegated, give him time to bring in some players and try to improve us.

Problem is we are 8th because of the inconsistency of the teams below us. Not because of us being a top 8 team.

No urgency or desperation in our performances under Puel. It's just sideways football at walking pace.

Letting go of Drinkwater and replacing with Silva has been a disaster for all involved.

Yet when I said this, everyone thought I was being ridiculous lol

You said they were laughing tbf, or loving it, whatever you said, obviously a somewhat ridiculous statement given where they were when he left and where they are now. I’m sure they’d take the odd indifferent home result to being relegated.

There is absolutely no way he’s telling them to go out and pass the ball around slowly. Nobody thinks that’s an effective way of playing football. The one player he’s brought to the club spins, twists, turns and passes quickly.

The issue is not the style of play per se, it’s the execution by players who are not technically gifted enough to do it.

Every single time Simpson and Morgan get the ball their heads are down, trying to make sure they’ve got it under control. In the split second extra it takes for them to get their heads up, the pass that would be available for the more technically able players (like Maguire), is shut off to them. Hence it going backwards and sideways.

I’m surprised he hasn’t gone with different defensive options (or looked to buy some in January) but he’s obviously tried to coach Morgan and Simpson into doing something different and Simpson in particular has obviously really tried, manfully taking up good positions without any end product.

Eventually people will realise that trying to keep the ball and moving it slowly is not the best way of scoring goals or getting results.

Until then, anyone defending him deserves to be bored watching the turgid football he serves up.

For us perhaps not all the time.

In general it obviously works is as it’s won numerous top leagues and major international trophies.

That’s this season not next! We are 4 wins from 15 that’s relegation form!

Don't let the league table fool you!

I believe that our tactics are inspired by General Melchard (Blackadder), ie walk very slowly towards the enemy as they would not be expecting this for the 37th time in a row. I cant be arsed to post a link so you will have to find it yourself.

Surely if our players aren’t technically gifted enough to play the style of football he wants then any competent coach would stop trying to make them play that way?

Or try to implement it since the core of the team can and less gifted are bound to join ther bench or another club next season?

Scary thing is, we go a goal down at home and you just know we will be lucky to get a draw, let  alone winning

If the core of the team could then I’d have hoped we’d have taken more than 3 points from Palace, Stoke, Bournemouth, and Newcastle.

I’ve stood by him but he pulls those performances and result out on any repeat occasion at home, he simply won’t be here in July.

Its not the style for me. It’s clear he can’t motivate the players. They don’t believe in the system or the method of playing.

And play what way? We went a year and a bit of playing absolutely woeful hoofball, which was much, much worse than this. We don't have the midfield to play the way we did in 15/16. We learned last season that we were easy to kill off by double or triple marking Mahrez.

Who'd have guessed it?!
