1. A railway station.

2. An old steam train to run on it.

3. A fat controller to keep an eye on it.   :)

(but really, exactly what davieG said) ...

I'd definitely take Rafa but would he come here???

I'm well aware of this, you should have seen the book they created. Henry Winter referred to it in his piece a while ago, but this book basically rewrites our history and says that the club had never survived in the top league, no mention of Pearson whatsoever either. It's one of the reasons I get frustrated with them, sure they've done a good job with the club but to ignore the history of the place is very disappointing, and just demonstrates how egotistical they are and that they do in fact want to create KPFC.

Crikey. Does not sit right with me that.

1) Toilets that you can actually get into without feeling as though you're sexually assaulting a green wheelie bin.

2) A bar that you can actually buy a drink at half time without having to leave your seat about 10 minutes before the break.

3) A match day train platform, seeings as most people are having to park further and further from the ground each year.

Unfortunately most football club owners are in it because of ego, boy's toy etc. I think it the nature of the beast, I don't think you find many Billionaires who aren't in love with themselves and they have a view they can do what they want, how they want.

Its a shame as a club history, is what make unique, I do worry we are going slow towards the NFL model of ownership.

The difference is most clubs have a nod to their history at their grounds. Man City, for example, have a timeline around the ground of their history. I always like looking at stuff like that at away games.

Our ground is so bland. I can't believe they ripped down our only banners and put more King Power logos up as if the sponsoring of the shirt and ground isn't enough. Even the big banners outside the ground that we had with Lineker on went when the owners come in and there's nothing there now.

A train station would be a great addition BUT I think logistically it won't happen. The line that runs behind the stadium (at the kop end) joins the main line but only in a southerly direction. So I guess it might be possible to run trains from the south (Narborough etc) and have them arrive at the stadium, but would not be practical to arrive from the North (and therefore connect with the station at London Road) - or at least not without a HUGE amount of infrastructure modifications.

EDIT - just noticed that line does run on towards Ashby etc as Davie said. I guess that would be a start!

I'd imagine they'd muck about with that junction to make sure trains could run on to the north. Can't imagine there being much of a business case for it unless it became viable as a commuter line in the week.

1. Bigger seat space/safestanding (stopping the stench form next door fans)

2. Dependent on capacity size (40,000?) re-design to look iconic not cardboardbox or plain.

3. Bigger area for beer or dedicated beer queues (do these already exist?) (Also better facilities in general like toilets/food areas)

1. Use the clapper money on literally anything else for the ground.

2. Potato peeling factory for all future limited edition crisp partnerships.

3. An industrial incinerator to get rid of that birthday flag.

In all seriousness though:

  1. Statues of some key players/staff.
  2. No segregated extensions to the stands, just full terrace.
  3. Get rid of that awful blue dye mess on the edge of the pitch

I think the trouble would be that you'd need to build a new curved line from the line near Aylestone Road to join the main line which would be right through the middle of Freemens Common. Building railway lines is hugely expensive especially if bridges and tunnels are involved. I can't see any way that it could be built without a lot of demolition work. It would be ideal if you could jump of a train at the main station and then get a train down to the stadium, but I wonder how many people would actually use it?

1) Additional tiers on 3 sides of the ground (East, West and North stands), over-hanging the lower tier as much as possible (like the old double decker), to keep them close to the pitch, taking to capacity up to 45,000+.  Add some nice touches such as an old style gable in the main stand roof.

2) A single-tier South Stand with a new lower pitched roof to hold in the noise.  Set up some sort of membership making it clear it's ultras only (for want of a better word).  Adults prices only.  Unreserved seating (until safe-standing allowed) which would help get like-minding fans together and encourage those not interested to relocate.

3) Future proof the stadium by installing safe-standing throughout the South stand, and the back half of the lower tier of the East Stand.  Safe-standing is a win/win for all. It's safer than standing in seated areas, the supporters want it, and football needs it. Those that want to stand will be able to, those that don't won't have people standing up in front of them.

Something needs to happen to football in general.  Nearly every ground is affected by a season ticket base growing older, and needs an injection of new blood but there's no room to fit them in.  I've had a season ticket since my teens, and now in mid-40's.  Those in their 40's then are now in their 60's or older. Ground are becoming sterile and something needs to change.  We have the opportunity to take the lead in what football needs in general, the club could take the initiative and really give us a stadium to be proud of.

In reality we'll end up with a huge extra tier bolted on behind the East Stand, miles from the pitch, with the same bland atmosphere.

As fantastic as that would be I can't see them boosting the capacity by over 13,000. More likely another tier over one of the longer sides adding another 3-4k in my view. Would absolutely love a cavernous kind of roof to keep the noise in and focused at the pitch.

OP points are all great. As is a shift to LCFC and not KPFC.

Would like a more expansive concourse that could be used at HT.

Would like to see some unique stadium features, no exposed brick, something modern and clean. Stick solar panels on the roof or something and have a light up thing akin to Allianz.

Structural support/improvement so events can be held at KP.

Improvement around the ground for travelling fans / allowing fans to get away from the ground quicker.

Better beer. Want to be able to smash a DIPA at HT please. Got good Leicester breweries now too. Get Framework to create a LCFC beer like Magic Rock did for Hudds.

There has long be pressure to open this Ivanhoe/National Forest line so I don't think it's impossible.

As for access surely it would be a case of reversing the train to get onto the branch.?

1. Less Generic FC branding

2. A statue

3. A voice activated turnstile system that shows you a picture of any players past or present with a name longer than two syllables. If you can't pronounce Okazaki or Iheanacho properly, you're not allowed in.

Either this or provide evidence that you were present and therefore soaked at either Meadow Lane in 92 or Fratton Park in 02
