Puell needs to stop playing Wes and Simpson surely Albrighton would be better than Simpson and Dragovic sitting on the bench whilst Morgan is what is a shame to say but out of his depth and well off the pace and should be nowhere near the first team spot that Puell keeps handing him week in week out !

After today’s dissapointment the only think now left to play for is pride and I really hope our players step up to the mark and don’t just throw in the towel but give the fans decent displays for the last few games !!

Burnley may not have the individual superstars but play as a unit. Whether they can they keep it up next year who knows, but to say they are shit seems to ignore their league position. After this many games they are where they deserve to be, as are we

 Simpson and Okazaki....... not to far behind.  

Normal zzzz fest 1st half . 2-0 . Decided to play for 10 -15 mins,get a goal.

Let Burnley off the hook by stupidity ,giving silly fouls and balls away when we had them under pressure.

Sums this season up .... short changed.

Annoyed but I think we played well for two thirds of that. Even at 2-0 down we created plenty of good chances but Vardy fluffed a couple, Morgan got in the way right at the end and their keeper made a couple of great saves. Some poor decisions against us too

Would rather Benalouane play than Morgan. The bloke thinks he is Pirlo with the long balls. How on earth anyone looks up to him as a captain when he is at fault usually is bonkers.

A decent performance after we'd gifted them a 2-0 lead. We created more than enough to at least get a point today but poor finishing cost us.

 

There's an anti-Puel bandwagon gathering steam here and I don't like where it's heading. Of course Morgan and Simpson need to be replaced by ball-playing defenders, it's not rocket science. We're trying to develop a style and it doesn't happen over the course of one transfer window. Puel needs to be given the summer, and in the meantime he needs to take the shackles off and try and string together a few consistent performances. I felt today was a small step in the right direction despite the defeat, and we have a great chance against Southampton next week to build on it.

B) The FA dock Burnley of points.

 

Or we could all hope that Southampton win the FA Cup.

How and why he is picking Morgan over Drago is anyones guess.

I don’t think he has a choice if I’m honest. If the rumours of dressing room unrest are true, dropping Morgan would make that worse. Need to let his contract run and let him go.

It's time to rebuild from today. Thinking through the team, there's only 3 players I'd be truly sad to lose. Vardy, Ndidi and Maguire. I'm resigned to losing Mahrez and the rest are just average. Silva maybe with a squad around him, may come good.

On the plus side, Chilly, Demari, Diabte and Choudhury  played well, and even though Vards wasn't quite at his best he still scored like the champion he is. Well in!

 

On the not-so-plus side. That was the worst performance I have seen from Wes Morgan. Silva and Simpson were poor too, but Wes was playing another level, so poor was his positioning, pace, communication and passing. Abysmal. It was almost astonishingly bad. The only possible silver-lining is maybe this abject performance will spur Puel to drop him. Wes has been average to poor since returning from injury, but this was an awful performance. And it's all the more galling when we have Drago on the bench, who formed a terrific relationship with Harry and was a solid, no frills, sensible player. Wes is a liability we cannot afford, and if he isn't dropped after that monstrosity then there is something seriously amiss.

 

I don't enjoy saying this. Wes is a club legend and I'll always love him. But on that performance, combined with other poor showings, clearly demonstrates that he needs to go for the good of the team.

 

I hope the players still find motivation now that Europe is gone. Here's hoping.

Just shove Amartey and Drago in, It simply cannot be worse than our defence is right now, and will send them a clear message. 

 

Our entire team is pretty spineless at present, they only throw caution to the wind when we have nothing to lose, such a negative approach to football. Boring. 

Simpson is playing because Amartey's not fit. The latter is just a patch anyway and we NEED a RB asap. Considering that the midfield was decimated and we were up against one of the best teams of the season, we did fairly well if it wasn't for Morgan's atrocious performance.

 

That said, if Morgan starts next game, I'll vote Puel out.

I’m usually one to defend Simpson  but that one one of the worst games I have seen him play for us.

He looked lost between basic defending and trying to attack.(very poorly may I add)

 

Im sorry but there is a fair few players who have downed tools as a change of style means they have no future at the club.

Simpson, Morgan, Oka are not capable of what’s is being asked of them hence why we are seeing so many mistakes.

 

Its time for change now, the title win is over, sentiment is no longer justified to pick certain players. 

 

We need a fresh impetus on the pitch with clear minds as some players are holding the club back.

 

A major clear out of players that are either too old/not part of the plans/are not good enough, need shipping out.

 

Yes it’s a massive rebuild job, (and I fancy Puel for the job), but it needs to be done as we’re stagnating and not moving forward on the pitch. at all with some of the current crop we have.
