He was tactically not ul to scratch. Silva took over Hull in dire circumstances and had no players. He almost kept them up. Watford were relegation favourites but he took them up to Top 7/8 before the Everton saga. But yh, Pearson is the saviour. While we're at it, why not get O'Neill back in? He took us to top half finishes. Or Ranieri? He knows these players and surely he can just win the league for us again. Silva took over hull with a good part of the season left and got them relegated. He had an even worse win ratio at Watford. This guy’s Premier League management performance does not back up his popularity with some of our fans. 1
Albert Posted 29 April 2018 Posted 29 April 2018 Bring back King Claudio! Make him an offer he can’t refuse and give him an open cheque book to sort this mess out 3 1
ramaiya2 Posted 29 April 2018 Posted 29 April 2018 At the moment there are not any good Managers out there who are out of a job. We are not going to get Rafa in, Wenger isn't coming, neither is Klopp, Sir Alex, Diego Simeone, Luis Enrique, Nigel Pearson isn't coming back, If we had a chance to get any of these or anyone else with a proven pedigree then Claude Puel would have been sacked. We are stuck with him at least until the end of the season

hejammy Posted 29 April 2018 Posted 29 April 2018 It has to be either Rafa or if not him, give Wenger an incentive to come
Corky Posted 29 April 2018 Posted 29 April 2018 Claudio. Then when he wins the league again we can say it was Claude who was the real mastermind 2
ramaiya2 Posted 29 April 2018 Posted 29 April 2018 Claudio won't come. He was playing players out of position the year he was sacked Neither will Rafa. He is building something at Newcastle and hoping for money to spend in the transfer window. Unless he leaves will he come here when there is a job opening at Chelsea? 1

C.J Posted 29 April 2018 Posted 29 April 2018 Does it matter who we get? Yes, you'll get a bounce where we win a few. But then our useless egotistical players will down tools and get whoever sacked (again)when they're asked to play slightly different. There's too much player power in the dressing room. That's the problem. 1
SouthStandUpperTier Posted 29 April 2018 Posted 29 April 2018 ****ed if I know. If it is Pearson, like a lot of you want, it must be alongside Shakespeare and Walsh. Otherwise he's as much use as a one-legged stool. Maybe Vichai should run the club via polls posted on Foxestalk?

Hull eventually went down with a whimper under his management and he got sacked at Watford after a very poor run of results, not just because of his flirtation with Everton. If he’s not good enough for Watford then he’s certainly not good enough for us. 2 attempts and 2 fails at Premier League level. The problem with Silva is that he doesn't like to stay around for very long, not the type of manager you'd put your trust into over a 3-5 year period. Saying that he is a bloody decent manager though, look how he started at Watford, they were flying and were playing some of the best football in the league, Everton then came sniffing and everything went downhill from there. A good manager who plays good football; however he isn't the right guy for a long term fix.

His style of play and organisation is perfect for Leicester. Surely he must be ready for a new challenge He would be ideal for us but there's not a cat in hell's chance that he leaves Madrid for a mid table PL side.

No chance - fans hate him simeone : currently earning €10 m after tax. Is he unhappy? If he is, he will have offers from some of the best European clubs. Can we stop embarrassing ourselves by mentioning him Wenger : will have his choice of plenty of top European outfits. Also earning far more than we will pay a manager but that isn’t the issue. He doesn’t want to manage a mid table prem club. 1
Weller Wing Posted 29 April 2018 Posted 29 April 2018 It would seem that most would want a strong character that speaks his mind, shows authority and gets his players fighting for every ball. Warnock it is then ?

Starts off well, then loses focus and starts looking for the next climb up the ladder he might get.

Stadt Posted 29 April 2018 Posted 29 April 2018 Can you renounce supporting a club? I'm just not interested in who get in. Even if somehow we got Benitez in (not happening) I still wouldn't be excited.
wardyfox86 Posted 29 April 2018 Posted 29 April 2018 It's not going to be Dyche, or rather shouldn't be. It would be a bad move for all involved. Why would he come to a club who's owners and fans see only 6th or 7th as acceptable. Also, probably losing our most technically gifted player in the summer. All this after guiding his current club, who adore him, to Europe. Burnley won't care if they finish 12th next year, but you can bet he'd have his P45 if we did. There's plenty of managers out there who's take the job, but at this moment in time Dyche isn't one of them. And for love love of God please stop mentioning Simeone.

But after we got Puel, Burnley immediately got Dyche to sign a new long lucrative contract. They won't let him go easy without massive compensation that was no doubt written into that contract. Especially as Everton were sniffing around then too.
