Vlad the Fox Posted 17 June 2018 Share Posted 17 June 2018 They are seriously ambitious, apart from the investment already shown the new training ground and plans for the stadium expansion show this. They want us to be challenging at the top end of the table and are building the club from the ground up to achieve this. Those bemoaning the transfer activity post championship win are missing how others viewed us, it still wasn't easy to attract top targets, the title was seen as a one off and top players and their agents were still wary of joining us, the bookies had us amongst the runners for relegation even. Remaining in the premier league as a settled club, the huge investment in its infrastrucure that we're seeing and the fact that we are paying wages higher than most in the league will swing things in our favour to convince players that we aim to be a top team, this is starting to happen now and shows with the signings we've made so far. Things take time and we have to be patient, they are building the club has an whole package, in five, ten years time time we'll be unrecognisable from the club they took over.

Popular Post Robin JD Popley Posted 17 June 2018 Popular Post Share Posted 17 June 2018 (edited) They are the reason, along with Mr Mandaric and the Consortium before that, we still have a club to support. In just over fifteen years, going from Administration to then, winning the League - people need to remember that. Thank you Vichai, Top and the rest of your family. Guest Markyblue Posted 17 June 2018 Share Posted 17 June 2018 No better owners in football when they are not here is when we will fully understand what they have done for our club. Mistakes yes but nothing compared to what they have done for us.

Stadt Posted 17 June 2018 Share Posted 17 June 2018 The owners didn’t win us the league. Pearson got us there and Ranieri and the players won it. They’ve been largely good owners but there’s a bit of revisionism.

They didn’t dip into their pockets post promotion. They got us out of a sticky situation, put us back in one and helped get us out of it again. At the time Pearson leaving and appointing Ranieri was a distaster, Ranieri applied for the job so it’s not like they sought him out and it was amazing foresight. I’ll reiterate they’re good owners but I think the appreciation is misdirected in most cases
