Where do we need to strengthen for next season ?

RW (presuming Mahrez goes)

ST (Or keep Slim)

10/Winger (depending on incomings and outgoings. Having seen Iheanacho there the last few weeks I'm no longer sure it's a necessity.)

Only assumption i make is Mahrez is off:

 

Right Back

Centre Half (maybe 2 depending on whether we deem any of the youngsters good enough to step up, or Amartey ends up getting a position)

Versatile attacking midfielder/forward who can operate anywhere across the line in a 4-2-3-1 (again, perhaps 2 depending on whether a Barnes or a Thomas can step up)

Goalkeeper (i'm not averse to spending big money on someone who will compete for first choice)

 

Possibly a left back as well, although I'm hopeful Chilwell might kick on next year and Fuchs is still just about adequate enough as cover.

Quite honestly, I'm not sure I trust any of our CM's to do their job other than N'didi. But we have too many CM's to shift already before getting another.

New Goal-keeping Coach

New Defensive Coach

New RB

2 CB's with pace and mobility and good in the air.

New DM

New Striker

Replacement for Mahrez (virtually impossible to find).

 

Plus chopping out of the deadwood and culling of some those no longer up to PL standard.

 

If all this possible with the current scouting/recruitment team in place - I doubt it.

I think that a reasonable list, maybe a LB if a good one become available at the right price.

Was he injured or dropped recently?

I don't want someone who is 'just about adequate', what happens if Chilwell (and I have no confidence in him) gets a long term injury?

It's this 'he'll do until' attitude that saw us en up with a defence of Simpson, Morgan and Chilwell/Fuchs who don't suit the style of play Puel was going for.

Depends how serious we wanna push for top 6.

 

For me we need a keeper equal to Kasper or young but will improve dramatically to challenge for the spot.

 

3 CB. This is a key area get rid of the old and get 3 young strong capable lads in 1 being dragovic.

 

RB-  Ricardo piera.

 

LB - luke Shaw or Alberto moreno 

 

2 wingers I know we have plenty but really which ones are truly effective not including mahrez we have 1 in diabate.

 

2 strikers. Offloading ulloa, okazaki, silimani, musa, 

That's almost 40 million getting rid of those 

 

I'd also take a punt on samir nasri on a free if he still available

GK - schmeichel to go as he's been shit this year. For some reason when we are a 2 goals down he's making saves but when we're trying to hold on to a one nil he can't make a single save. Get butland or ukrainian guy we've been linked to.

CB - I think we should give huges a chance at sub center back so get mawson no need for another CB.

RB - we are getting pereria so covered.

RM - Little Shaq or Elynoussi for when Mahrez goes.

CAM - Ben Arfa on a free seeing as we're short for cash even though it is a risk seeing as he has been shit at PSG.

 

Sell - Slimani, Ulloa, benaloune, musa, kaputsta and mendy. they could give us 20 million seeing as CSKA moscow want musa. and seeing as their wages were so high that's 10 million off the weekly wage bill.

 

And sell gray

Is Evans better than what we have? We currently have Wes Morgan and Benny as CBs, so yes.
