For me, I guess the question is who would I rather have at my club, right now? - I would take Silva.

would much rather have drinkwater

Full John Terry mode... is this a Chelsea tradition?

both him and huth were at our trophy presentation in full kit despite not playing. absolutely tonnes of players have done the same thing.

I'd rather have him than Silva to be honest and fair play to him for backing himself, but by all accounts he forced through his transfer like an arse and will end up another Steve Sidwell.

Nothing against him for grabbing that move while he could, but hindsight is a wonderful thing. Nice if our fans didn't take some kind of perverse infatuation with players that have the audacity to leave us (after having won the ****ing Premier League) maybe not doing as best they could but there'll always be a collection of weirdos at every club.

Why have you started a sentence without an upper-case letter?

Did you not go to school?

At the beginning of the season after Chelsea bought Drinkwater and we cocked up Silva's signing I had a bet with my sons that Silva would play more minutes for us than Drinkwater would for Chelsea. Given injuries to Silva I thought I could be wrong. However if seems DD played 563 minutes to Silva's 763!

Apart from his bank balance what if anything has Drinkwater gained?

A full head of hair?

The new Winston Bogarde..................sit tight and take the wedge for years.   England place lost too.   In hindsight, not a good career move but good from the Bank balance perspective.  So in few years time when he is turning out for Kidderminster Harriers for 500 quid a week, he will have the best wheels in the car park.

Sad that some feel the need to "attack" him.

He was one of our best players over the period he played for us. We would never have won the Championship or the Prem title without him.

I can understand a little bitterness when he left but now I think you should all move on.

Danny Drinkwater - Leicester Legend.  ;)

This.

Also, Chelsea finished higher than us in the league, they won the FA cup and will be playing in Europe next season. Providing he can get back to some sort of fitness and can play next season then his career has progressed since leaving...

I don’t think our fans want to attack Drinkwater personally, it’s more the system where a player leaves to where he thinks the grass is greener, we all want our top players to want to help our team reach the highest level

You can tell by this photo that both drinkwater and barkley are clearly happy to be chelsea benchwarmers which clearly has fcuked up there England careers. Id even forgot Barkley was at chelsea.

Drinkwater gambled and lost, if he'd stayed with us I think he could have made the England squad.

I supposed he'll be happy counting the money!

Don't think he even wants to play for England.
