Because some people like to put other people down for no reason to make themselves feel better.  X

Well said Rumble ...   and at some point someone will get it right ...   and all I'm saying is that imo there might well be more of the old guard in that opening match than a lot of people might think ...    and we know who they are ...     :)

And the thread has got fvck all to do with journalism ....

Hamer

Pierra Maguire Morgan Fuchs

Choudhury James

King Albrighton Chillwell

Diabate

This is by far the most likely line up next season. Silva Kaspar Ndidi Vardy Iheanacho Iborra will all be sold to fund a failed bid for Ben Arfa.

.... Big lol!!

Got to believe this is pure banter and not a serious post. With Ben Arfa on a free, can't see the need for a fire sale?

I think we are not too far away in terms of a decent team (obviously in an ideal world we would add a few world class players but I am talking realistic) With that in mind I think we should spunk some money on Pope and go....

                       Pope

Pereira  Maguire  Evans  Chilwell

                Ndidi  Silva

   Diabate  Iheanacho  Gray

                    Vardy

Pope will stay with Burnley..unless Major top Club goes knocking.

.I See a better Chance for Butland,we should be chasing him now. Before WCup

Though I still wont say No to a resfreshed, remotivated Schmeichel-Jaku  1-2.

Evans??  If Drago stays then No need for the older Evans.hoping then to See,more of Elliot Moore

But great to See,Like me you want to See the Younger Guys being Pushed to the Fore.

An experienced Silva, could be the Go to Guy,for the Youngsters, plus He himself ,will be

Upping His Game 2nd season in. On the Back of a decent WCup Maguire to Run the Backline.

If the Young players start to realise that promised Potential,Vardy will have His best season

in a foxes Shirt. .....ITS there!!  Can WE Grasp It??

I do however expect Puel to Bring, more Players in...then we will See If we can Keep Appleton.

Planque/Appleton/Puel, Starting a fresh....2 Musketieres and a fox..yup I'll Go for that..

The teams being posted just highlight how much we need both a quality winger and creative number 10 to replace Mahrez.

If we line up next season with Gray and Albrighton as first choice players, we're in the shite.

I don't usually agree with you on much (it's not you - just what you write ) but I've already stated as much mesen. He's a roving and active midfielder - in the thick of it and, as a senior international in one of the world's better squads, his experience and maturity could be engaged to influence the team where it matters.

haha cheers man.

this 100%.

People also replacing Mahrezs name with Roberts?! ..We need to spend every penny of the mahrez funds trying to replacing him as much as possible and by that we need to replace 10+ Goals 10+ assists a season.

Albrighton, Gray, Diabate, Patrick Roberts are not going to give you 10+ Goals 10+ assists a season.

Correct. Who would you like us to replace Mahrez with?

I want us to try and get Thorgan Hazard in. He's been pretty consistent for Monchengladbach over a few years in a good league.

He'd cost a fair bit, but I think he's as good as we can realistically do.

What I'd like (and I don't think it's overly unrealistic)

                           Kasper

         Dragovic    Evans     Maguire

Pereira                                                 Bertrand

                     Silva       ndidi

                           T Hazard

               Nacho                 Vardy

Does anyone know what the weather will be like on Aug 11?

if not I can write an essay on what it may be like, and people who have little or no life can dissect it on Foxestalk

I understand that we are talking about the starting team here but remember that we need first class coverage in every position. I'm hoping some young guys will make the squad this season.

I think he'll stick with 4411 personally, would be nice to seem some flexibility with formations but that's definitely more of a dutch/Italian manager thing to do.

... Puel started with a 4-4-1-1 then switched to 4-2-3-1 in the Southampton game where we won 4-1,

The fact that he has steadfastly refused to amend this formation even when the team clearly struggled to make it work, leads me to believe that he will not change the formation for the coming season.

Does anyone think Puel will try to sneak one or two u23’s into the first team?

I have a feeling he’s going to give players such as Moore, Barnes and Thomas a chance to shine in pre-season and he might like what he sees.

I wonder where he'll play Barnes. He was in central midfield, then on the left, and then Puel kept subbing Ian for him. We seem to have enough wingers, we desparate need a creative midfielder but having a number 10 would be decent.

I know he's much loved on here but we need to upgrade on Albrighton.

Him and Shinji ....   and when we find one who is significantly and consistently better let me know ...   :)

His form has definitely dropped - maybe we've had the best from him now, never to be repeated... :(  Just need to find someone else who can, and is willing, to actually cross the ball properly :P

The dismantling of the title winning side will go into full swing this summer. Probably only Vardy and Kasper will remain from that team....

Signing Ben Arfa should be a given if he'll come and he's a free agent, he could be a straight replacement for Mahrez's creativity and Puel got the best out of him at a previous club.
