Weren't these launch photos taken before the end of the season? Maguire, Vardy, Ndidi, Choudhury, Okazaki, Schmeichel etc are all on international duty.

In that case it perhaps says he won't play much of a part this season. Probably won't be Captain either.

I don't usually get information as accurate as this, I was lucky this time and I overheard whilst queueing at the Chippy for trotters and scratchings.....couldn't see clearly who said it though, but he was tall enough to see over the counter.

From the horses mouth then (not harry kane) Rudders himself then.

Was thinking that myself, as there was a little brown stain on the counter glass where he'd had his nose pressed whilst trying to get a better look at the chitterlings and monkfish roe.....

Wes doesnt want to leave. Suprisingly quite happy to sit on the bench for the whole season.

The club however want him off the wage bill.

He may not even be on the bench. Depends on if Moore impresses in pre season & that's the clubs fault for giving average footballers massive wage increases eg Simpson, Wes etc

Very surprising, you're not insinuating he would be more likely to if the club subsidised his wage for the rest of his contract here if he were to move?

Surely we won't give him another one and he's got another year in him, whether that is at this level is debatable largely down to his fitness/injuries.

Would be a shame if he has got more in him but instead will sit on the bench til retirement

Jesus, is this the thread people just gather in to bash our own players?

It's all about context - maybe Wes is happy to take his wage sitting on the bench, or maybe he understands that his chances may be limited, but still cares about the team and club, so is willing to take a backseat. He may not be quite what he was, but you don't end up captain (of a title winning team to boot) for no reason.

Iborra to Levante at this moment in time is a strange one for me. It is inevitable one day he'll retire there but I think he can still offer something for us, too good for Levante at the moment. However, I understand the Valencia rumours, has been solid over there in Spain.

Shinji off to Mexico according to the merc

I would be devastated, love Shinji for all he has done for us. An amazing number 10, for which we always miss when he's not in the side.

I agree and we've been discussing it since 20.05 yesterday in the Shinji thread, but lets be honest he's not a Puel player

But he’s excelled in Puel’s system, particularly before his first injury of the season.

We haven’t seen Puel’s system yet as it revolves around competent footballing attacking full backs on both sides and a creative 10.

All we’ve seen is Puel fire-fighting getting us out of the bottom 5 and into the top 10.

Its why, while I have my reservations, he really must be judged when he has those full backs and number 10 iin place imo.

Didn't see thw other thread. My apologies.   But gutting really, been pretty consistent in his time here.

I really am still very worried about the future under Puel.
