wow, just wow. I don't know how the owners of your club managed to get a glamour pre-season friendly against us and to top it off, at our state of the art stadium as well :appl: it's a fantastic achievement from the owners who  have done nothing for your club  and for that I applaud them  :appl:, for you  all ,to see a glamour match during their reign is a truly remarkable  one, I don't think you will ever see one again :(  if your owners leave tomorrow after their dreadful few years in charge, at least you can all say ' they got us a friendly against the Anglo- Italian cup winners'   a great day for  leicester city, what will surly see you on the front page of the mercury for a change and not the back page  :)  **** forest and cheating cov :beer:

Yeah it's a great friendly. I'm a big fan of local aways for friendlies and I've never been to Meadow Lane before so this is another ground ticked off for me.

 

Best of luck with your season, I'd like to see Notts County at a higher level.

I was on Notts County's books my moons ago so have always had a soft spot for them.

 

Disappointed to see them lose to Cov.

 

Last time we played Notts County in 1994 I remember us getting beat 4 - 1 and we were a total shambles.

 

All the best and looking forward to the 'friendly'.

Hope Notts they finally get promoted to the Championship again at some stage, it's been close to 25 years. Two successive promotions, and you're done. :fc:

You do realise that most of the English clubs we played last season pre-season either got promoted or relegated in 2018. Hope you are not in the latter or you may be out the league.

Notts County is my nearest professional club so I consider myself to be a well wisher so good luck to you.

I like Notts County, I'm Nottingham based. Got down to Notts County V Crewe when it was £2 a ticket, nice to see Kevin Nolan and Shola Ameobi, good club! Looking forward to getting down pre-season!

I seem to have a memory of being at a Leicester v Notts County match when Shilton was in goal against us. Rumour had it that he was having an affair with a woman called Tina. Every goal kick he took we substituted the usual 'You're shit' to 'Ti-na-arrrrghhhh'.

He really did put it about didn't he. Not sure what women saw in him, comes across as a nice enough bloke but a bit slow and dimwitted when he's interviewed on anything. Seem to remember a story about him being stabbed in the arse with a screwdriver by an enraged husband whilst having it away in a layby with someone's wife. I didn't dream that did I? Or was that Micky Thomas? My memory is blurred.

 

Edit - Just googled it. My apologies to Peter Shilton, that was Micky Thomas lol
