Still have yet to be impressed by Adrien and Ricardo looked to be of the same vein from this match, really hope they turn up for the new season.

Both Uruguay goals were brilliant tbf.

That's the one consolation I'm trying to take out of this as a potential opponent - apart from two moments of brilliance, they didn't create loads of chances.

On the other hand, those moments of brilliance are just as likely against us!

Ah, there goes another World Cup for me. Frustrated with some of the managerial decisions again.

Don't know why Ricardo came in, Guedes useless again. And Gueriro can't defend ffs. And Quaresma is far too slow to be making an impact.

Hopefully this ain't the end of Ronaldo, otherwise we won't even qualify for the World Cup, let alone win one.

Weren't impressed by Uruguay, France will beat them imo.

Ah well, on to Euro 2020.

Uruguay are a horrible team but they're going to take some stopping. At least Ronaldo won't be beat Kane's goals total now.

2 horrible teams, Uruguay are defensive, cynical and dirty and Portugal are the height of shithousery. Was hoping both would lose! Good to see Portugal dumped out, they have been horrible to watch for years now.

Uruguay were the better team today & Ronaldo was outplayed by Suarez & Cavani. If you weren't impressed by Uruguay then you really weren't impressed by Portugal.

Wow, all this negativity aimed at Adrien Silva and Ricardo Pereira.

Silva did well during his time on the pitch and Ricardo wasn't up to speed after being left out for the first three WC matches.

One game doesn't tell the whole story.

Have a word with yourselves.

At least both will return to LCFC safe and sound, and injury-free.

Pretty impressive record for Oscar Tabarez:

Quote

Uruguay antes de Tabárez en los Mundiales:

1994: no se clasificó
1998: no se clasificó
2002: primera fase, 0 victorias
2006: no se clasificó

- Uruguay con Tabárez en los Mundiales:

2010: semifinales, 4 victorias
2014: octavos, 2 victorias
2018: ya en cuartos, 4 victorias

I'm quite pleased that I have enough Spanish to understand that.

I wasn't impressed by Portugal and haven't been since about 6 years.

It was a tight game, and Cavani and Suarez's quality shone through. With better selections and substitutions I felt we could have beat them.

When I say I weren't impressed by Uruguay, imo a better team would have beat them. We just didn't have the quality to do so. Imo opinion France will.

Our boys did alright. Adrien was nice and tidy and Ricardo was ready on the overlap constantly. The 2nd Uruguay goal was more to do with Rui Patricio's positioning than Ricardo's.

Uruguay is the total opposite of Argentina, a proper team with a plan working hard for each other. Well played to them.
