Anyone else slightly concerned that we've not really been linked to any established, even half-decent replacements? Despite that fact that the Mahrez transfer has been happening for months?

I really don't think we have enough creativity in what we already have.

Not sure what you are realistically expecting with our current recruitment set-up?   I am personally hoping Puel and his new side-kick have some aces up their sleeves leaving Rudders to undo the disastrous mess we got ourselves into 3 windows back.

He can’t be replaced by one single player at this stage.

Get one of Gonçalo Guedes or Malcolm

Why do we think we are getting a 'Marquee' or 'Someone Special'??

Did I miss the bit where we qualified for Europe last year?

Or already had the fancy training ground?

We'll get someone young with potential or someone experienced looking for one last gig whilst our youth gets up to scratch.

His name mentioned already in this thread but Bertrand Traore. 22 years old with a decent goals to game ratio, bags of pace and skill... could possibly get him for a decent-ish price (granted we'll pay over the odds now clubs know we have £60m+ in the back pocket).

The Mirror was reporting that Seri from Nice was potentially going to Fulham for £18m with Chelsea and Arsenal also interested. Nearly signed for Barcelona but they apparently opted for Paulinho instead last year.

He would surely be worth hijacking?

It's going to be this Abdulkadir Omür

If we sign this kid I think, we will sign him to strengthen our attacking options at centre mid rather than as a winger.

Seri's mostly been playing as a central midfielder, you could argue that he can be deployed on the right in a 4-3-3, but that's not comparable to the role of a proper right winger or right midfielder, pushing forward on his flank.

Roma tying to haggle (they won’t pay more then €30m/£26.5m).

There for the taking, by far the best option and RW is arguably his best position (10 games - 4 assists, 6 goals).

Ziyech - £30m would easily do it and £80k/wk, his passing range and control is pure filth. At the World Cup he was played far too deep, he needs on be on either wing or as a CAM.

bet we done even try for this bloke, more likely to bring in a untried kid, if we sold some of the dead wood we would not need to touch the 60 million, just once sign what we need and make it happen sooner rather than later.
