yorkie1999 Posted 2 May 2019 Posted 2 May 2019 Err, arsenal fans singing by far the greatest team. Didn’t hear that one at the weekend

No doubt these people were similarly annoyed when Carragher celebrated live on air. BT Sport's bias towards Liverpool is the most obvious of any broadcaster I can remember. Flabbergasted that they can't see that. Then again, they're acting shocked Suarez acted like a **** against them so maybe they truly are that lacking in self-awareness.

Some of the rubbish he came out with during the game too.
Guest MattP Posted 3 May 2019 Posted 3 May 2019 Apparently the Barcelona ultras are planning revenge next week and are going to start pushing the local Scousers into job centres.
String fellow Posted 3 May 2019 Posted 3 May 2019 How soon will it be before the health and safety brigade clamp down on rocket shots of the type we saw from Messi this week? If chopping down an opponent in a tackle is verboten, is it okay to potentially decapitate a defender lined up in a wall?

Cause if its a draw on aggregate after the 2nd leg then it will either be Extra time (If spurs win 1-0 on the night ) or Spurs go through on away goals rule (2-1, 3-2, 4-3 Spurs win on the night etc)

Which in my view is clearly referring to the away goal rule. I just hope that Ajax stuff them then stuff Barca in the final. Would be nice to have them win it. Seems a long time ago they last won it. Cant remember when and cant be bothered to look EDIT - Typed Ronnie when it was Horses Mouth

Of course there's that legendary Ajax team lead by Cruyff that won three consecutive European Cups in the early 70s.
filbertway Posted 3 May 2019 Posted 3 May 2019 You could say any away goal is useless in that case. Chelsea's away goal is useless if Frankfurt go to Stamford Bridge and draw 2-2 or 3-3

The point I'm making is, it's impossible for Ajax to win on away goals, so Spurs have an extra method of victory over Ajax so have a slight advantage. It's highly unlikely with the nature of the two teams that'll stay 0-0, especially with Son coming back for Spurs.

The goal won’t be useless. But the away goal is. You call it an away goal so therefore talking about the away goal rule. Which is useless

MC Prussian Posted 6 May 2019 Posted 6 May 2019 With Salah and Firmino out, Barcelona will walk the return fixture. All set for a Barca vs. Ajax final. Cruyff would be proud.
egg_fried_rice Posted 7 May 2019 Posted 7 May 2019 Anyone bothering with the match this evening? Think I'll get some decorating done instead.

Listening on the wireless in the car waiting for the kids to finish their athletics club. Hopefully back for the second half. And they’ve just scored!
