It's unlikely we'll see the likes of Slimani, Ulloa and Benalouane play for us again, as there's no way Puel will name anyone in the 25 man squad who could be leaving before the International transfer deadline at end of August.  Unless they get shipped out to an English club today, all 3 are likely to be going abroad then.

Probably Kapustka as well. Possibly Iborra and even Shinji might also be on their way abroad, It will be interesting to see if they're in the 25 man squad tomorrow?

Yes, on loan to any EFL clubs - Davie G has just confirmed that to me as well.  Deadline at the end of August.

Since the international window is still open, the Premier League says the 25-man squad list isn't due until September 1. So I guess there is some leeway for the surplus players to be available for duty in the meantime, even if they wouldn't be on the squad (not that's at all likely). I guess it also means that if there was some sort of injury situation before then, technically Claude could change his mind on some things. Again, not likely.

Are you sure about that? The transfer window is usually open for quite a lot longer, difficult to give numbers for players not yet signed.

There is no way squad numbers haven't been submitted. Surely it's a requirement before the league starts.

 

The 25 squad registration, late September, is a totally different thing.

 

It's probably just the club being slow to tell us all again.
