If a 25 million price tag is being thrown about for a versatile midfielder I would much rather us go for Max Meyer (free... albeit expensive wages 110k??)...more of a creative flair player which is exactly what we need with a good potential resale value In the future.

He’s another no.10 who can also play wide

wish we could get a wide man whos an actual wide man and not a jack of all trades lol

Would definitely fit our system given his high work rate and is comfortable on the wing. Wouldn't actually be bad if we had someone to do a wide and an AM role given we've no real alternatives for maddision aside form okazkai and iheanacho.

Heard any whispers?

He's a great player, wouldn't be my first choice to play wide right but he can operate out there or slightly narrow. Surely he's an option for central midfield rather than out wide, if we managed to get rid of 2-3 of the buggers by next Thursday.

With the players linked, and with Gray saying he's been training more centrally, I'm guessing Puel will be looking to deploy a fluid 3 behind Vardy perhaps. Maddison, Gray, Joao Mario, Lucas Perez can all play across that line.

I can see it pal. Puel has been known to use it, Gray has spoke about being trained in a central role and with the lack of links to wide players as well as continued links to strikers and CM's..... I wouldn't bet against it.

Max Meyer would be a great signing. Trouble is we are stacked with rank midfielders that we need to offload.

Max alongside Ndidi would be awesome - potentially.

He's a centre mid, he CAN operate in a wide midfield position but think more David Beckham or Steve Guppy than Riyad Mahrez. Just a midfielder that can cross a ball.

He's probably better than most of our centre mid options but our centre mid options are good enough that we don't need to sign more without selling anyone.

Basically, I can't see this happening.

Well I'd be more than happy to see a Steve Guppy type player.

Whipping crosses at Vardy and Shinji, great idea that.

I'm not sure we're the same team we were when we scored four headers in fifteen minutes at Pride Park.
