You'll see what I mean when the season starts. like others have said square pegs in round holes.

Is Ricardo a RB, RWB or RM? In pre season he's played RM. Same with Chilwell.

Can Ricardo and Chilwell play in the same team as both will want to attack.

Silva I thought he was a No10? But we've signed Maddison to play as No10 and Ihenancho / Shinji play there.

Despite all these signings I still think our best team / formation is:

Kasper

Simpson

Maguire

Evans

Fuchs

Albrighton

N'didi

Iborra

Gray

Okazaki

Vardy

how can you leave out the captain?

Surely the result of that thing where you add your first pets names to your mums maiden name to get your porn name.

Custard Law sounds more like something I'd be charged and arrested for being in contravention of rather than my porn name tbh.

First glance I thought he looked like Raheem sterling...  looked again he doesn't  look like Raheem Sterling at all

But it spooked me enough to put me right off this deal so its a no from me.,

Nope. First one still wins hands down for me.

Sheltered life mate. I make my own Quince Jelly from the fine specimens in my walled orchard. Doesn’t everyone?

I’ve seen this player live when Zenit played Spartak last year. Honestly this guy is really good and has been one of the top players over there for a number of seasons. My friends in Russia think he could easily make the grade in Europe. When I saw him play he was very good and you had to wonder why he was applying his trade in that league.

He was was close to moving to Southampton last year but they baulked at the fee.

He’d be a pretty solid signing imo.

That's weird as he plays for Spartak.

He's got skill, pace, a footballing brain and looks a very good passer and finisher. There's key attributes that regardless of the league should transfer to different styles of football. It's no guarantee but when you see players who are pure pace and erratic finishing or they have so much time on the ball from poor defending then you can see why they might not replicate it in the PL.

I'd be very happy with him. Of the 5 wingers we've been linked with I'd go in this order.

1) Hazard

2) Promes

3) Januzaj

4) Pepe

5) Ghezzal

Last year in the Russian League:

- Top average rating

- Most goals scored

- Most assists

- 7 Man of the match awards

All this from a winger. When I saw him play, it was his physical attributes that stood out. Incredibly fast and strong with good technique to boot. Zenit tried to double up on him and well... the match ended up 3-1 to Spartak! Drew a lot of yellow cards from fouls also.

I do think there are other players we've been linked with that are better (Thorgen Hazard!), but I think he's a fairly safe pick. We'd get a good player who would contribute a decent amount to the team in goals, assists and making space for others.Only arguments against are fairly high transfer fee / wage and despite being just 26 I don't think we could sell him on at a profit.
