If they can keep that up all season they stand a good chance of staying up. They had a bit of bad luck and it took the wind out of their sails and I was pleased to see how effectively City capitalised. We are work in progress though, against another team we could easily be in two down at half time rather than two up. Don’t look to have much backbone when it matters. Can have all the technical players they want but need more grit
Choppalcfc Posted 18 August 2018 Posted 18 August 2018 started off crap, but really grew into the game, ricardo is an animal, ndidi has been class as usual
Aesc Posted 18 August 2018 Posted 18 August 2018 Ndidi, Mendy and Maddison have been great. Ricardo has been outstanding!

Bazly Posted 18 August 2018 Posted 18 August 2018 I thought Mendy never wanted to play for LC ever again, he has performed well for a want away. Ricardo is raw but definitely talented, probably more raw than he should be at his age. Maddison has the potential to become a midfield General. Other than that, Evans is really poor, I mean dog shite poor.
Carl the Llama Posted 18 August 2018 Posted 18 August 2018 I got a stream going just in time for the first goal so from what I've seen we've been all over them
FoxinNotts Posted 18 August 2018 Posted 18 August 2018 Bit of luck with both our goals, but “if you don’t buy a ticket” n all that. We’ve had some good performances in that half; Ricardo, Ndidi and Chillwell all stood out.

I’d say give him a chance Fair. He's an experienced player though, didnt expect such a slow start. They were walking 'round him. First game, will give hime another 45 mins before judging 1

FoxNotFox Posted 18 August 2018 Posted 18 August 2018 Much better once we got over our wobbles. I was afraid we'd have to weather a storm and, quite frankly, I think Wolves deserved to take the lead. We got lucky, in defence and up front, but whatever. Ricardo has been brilliant. I've enjoyed watching Mendy but has had the odd wtf moment. Evans.... well, I'm not yet convinced - let's hope he settles. 1

Scotch Posted 18 August 2018 Posted 18 August 2018 I actually think Mendy has been decent. He's not great on the ball but we knew that but he does get about and force errors and break up play. If the 3 behind the striker can find some sort of rythym, I can get behind an Ndidi/Mendy CM.....

foxfanazer Posted 18 August 2018 Posted 18 August 2018 Credit to Chilwell. Was a boss that half and a great block of the line
Mehrez Posted 18 August 2018 Posted 18 August 2018 (edited) Terrible before the first but much better since, credit to Puel for sorting it out. Pereira has been brilliant, Maddison Gray and Chilwell linking up excellently. Mendy been fantastic at both ends. Only negative is Evans has been suspect I excpect Caglar would take his place if we don’t play a 3 Edited 18 August 2018 by Mehrez 1
420Hashish Posted 18 August 2018 Posted 18 August 2018 That own goal was one hell of a goal. You couldn't score one like that if you wanted to. 1

Some bizarre passes by him, but otherwise, he has got stuck in and shown for the ball which is encouraging. Think he will need a few starts before we can really see his confidence return and maybe assess if he is going to be a decent player for us. Brave from Puel to chuck him in, in such an important game. Doing OK though
StriderHiryu Posted 18 August 2018 Posted 18 August 2018 At the ground and behind the goal. Evans... having an absolute nightmare. Ndidi has done his job and that’s why we are ahead. We don’t deserve to be but I’ll take it!

Having a player in that central area who can hold up the ball, turn and make things happen is going to make a world of difference. I'd have him right in the England squad on what I've seen. The so-called 'experts' would have Wilshere and Loftus-Cheek ahead of him
