Lets be honest, some people really don't see or understand what is happening on the pitch. They enter into the game with preconceived perceptions about certain players & really can't follow the intricacies of the game.

Also strange is that this group is usually the most vocal.

I think you just described life in general. Empty vessels and all that.

It’s far easier to highlight the mistakes a player makes than the subtle stuff they do well because the mistakes are more highlighted. It makes people who want to seem knowledgeable feel better about themselves to talk about the obvious mistake than what someone actually did well. It’s rather sad.

Remember when everyone wanted to see him banished from the club?

Yes I do

All kinds of people here were saying how shit he was.

Based on quite literally nothing.

I agree. I lot of them hadn't even seen him play.

We do have some fans who like to walk on the negative side of the street.

Supposedly payed 7 to 10 million for him the last 2 seasons most would say we’d been ripped off . This season it’s starting to look like peanuts long may it continue

Let's hope we don't jinx the guy and he gets injured again. He's been a pretty solid performer and I'm glad for him.

As of now, he and Kapustka are the last 2 signings from summer 2016.

He deserves to be a club legend for being the only signing to work out from that transfer window.lol:scarf:

Surprised with his passing ability, actually. Very composed on the ball and him and Wilf look a great partnership. Like having a new signing.

I'd have to agree, his passing was great today!

Genuinely making N'Didi look a worse player.

Have to agree, Mendys all round game has been superb. Ndidi’s passing has not improved at all. In fact it’s really frustrating.

Id like to see Mendy with Iborra or Silva for a game.

Ndidi made 2 poor passes all game today. Iborra or Silva would make 2 poor passes/turnovers in less than 10 minutes

Surprised how good he's been since he's come in. Just wish him and Wilf were abit better at passing.

What ??? Wilfs passing may be a bit suspect at times but Mendy ? really ? fantastic passer of the ball, quick, accurate and nearly always forwards !

He’s ok. Both him and Wilf are very defensive though. I still believe we are missing a central midfield playmaker. Some of our passing remains not brilliant to be honest.
