Surely Southgate has to share the blame though with the squad he's taken!

That's two semi finals his sides have bottled.

That's no coincidence

I agree with you to a large degree...but he’s got us there too. We’re not in the top four in the world in terms of quality available to us. so the fact we’ve done so well in the past few years has also to be attributed to him too.

Hopefully he’s learning as much as this young England side.

And the incredibly easy qualifying group and dream draw in the world cup too.

Watching England tonight makes me realise what a good squad we (Leicester) actually have. We’ve been in high pressure situations like the two stones mistakes and we’ve managed to successfully play out from the back. Ndidi is a quality midfielder for soaking up the pressure from the back line and sending it forwards to more technical players.

Exactly, he’s got us in those positions. Others have struggled in similar eg 2010 etc which may have been a better draw without hindsight.

As mentioned do have issuers that’s now Columbia, Croatia and a few others in terms of what Southgate did in major games, but hopefully he's learning his lessons tactically in that role as much as any of those players.

Forget Virgil, Dick Van Dyke could have marked Kane tonight, I know he didn't make the errors for the goals but when the ball keeps coming back and free kick after free kick are conceded it doesn't help relieve pressure it just invites it.

With Redknapp basically repeating both of them

He's like a dog looking at his owners as if he understands what they are saying. (Though he likes madders so I love him now)

midfield is still an issue. henderson is a very, very good midfielder, and after that we are in real trouble.

not even sure maddison solves the issue tbh. foden might be our best shout.

Half of you need a reality check

abusing Kane and Southgate when they have got us to two semi finals, the last 4 of two comps with far from being the 4th best team in the world.

We have a promising young team and like Leicester there’ll be bumps in the road, but aye, trust the process and don’t forget the man who united a nation less than a year ago

Madderz, Foden/Henderson and Choudury (DM) midfield 3? (Not that it'll happen, but still...)
