Shall we have somewhere to lay scarves flowers ect. There's nothing we can do as fan but show our true heartfelt condolences to them. They are family to everyone at Leicester and gave so much to us. I feel it's the least I can do

I’m sat in a pub in Llangeitho with some Welsh guys and a Derby fan. Everyone devastated for us. All sat checking social media, most on this thread. It is times like this that make you realise that there is light even in the darkest night.

As Leicester fans we fall out about most things the manager, the players, the formation but one thing we have always completely agreed on for the last 8 years is how fantastic the owners are and what a positive force they have been for the club and the city. My heart goes out to the Srivaddhanaprabha family at this time. Leicester till I die

Puts things into persepective when football is not the main concern. Just praying for the best and wishing our emergency services well, that's all we can do at this stage.

thats the first time i thought of todays game reading that mind has been elsewhere since me step son told me.

Sorry to be so blunt, or if this comes across as insensitive...

 

... but your club would have found a way to make it very clear early on if the owner wasn't on board - probably via the media, or if he was on board but now in hospital, to stop the rampant speculation as soon as it started / before it got completely out of control. 

 

Its a tragedy and my thoughts are with you all, the worst has happened, I know its going to take a long time for you all to heal.

Sad news indeed. Some things are just so much more important than football, but it is that common emotional bond of football support and appreciation which binds us together in times of tragedy. Our thoughts are with you.

The bbc news presenter mentioned "the manager" potentially being on board. Hopefully just a mis-speak.

Utterly numb. I have been glued to this thread every minute since it happened. I don’t know what I’m hoping for. 

 

I  can only say thank you the fans of other teams who have made comments. As stupid as it sounds that’s the only thing that’s just holding me together.

The woman on the BBC News channel just said this a second ago - I'm guessing that that's where this came from.

My guess is that she misunderstood and was referring to the Director of Football (who, it seems, wasn't on board anyway). Pretty amateur mistake though and is how misleading rumours can start. Not good enough from them at a truly emotionally crippling time for a lot of us.

Radio Leicester gets a bashing on here, but hats off to Owynn, Stringer et al who are on air talking through this. They both sound in complete shock but are doing a brilliant job
