Our ball from midfield to attack though has been piss poor, Palace swarming our midfield, Ndidi especially has zero composure in tight areas. Maddison hasn't been in the game either.

And the goal too similar to the one we conceeded last game, space on the endge of box adter coming back from wide, not enough pressure. Can't see a way back into this going off form, they're not a very good team and we've faded as the match has gone on with a near full strength side. Think we need to get Madders on the ball more and pick them off

What is holding us back are Ndidi and Mendy in the middle and Maddison not doing much. Mendy is at fault for the goal. He should have moved up to fill the gap left behind by Ndidi who went near the corner. We need to drop one of Ndidi and Mendy and get Okazaki in and bring Maddison back a bit. Go for it.

martyn Posted 15 December 2018 Posted 15 December 2018 We are hamstrung by Ndidi and Mendy. We don't even necessarily need a deeper lying ball player, just somebody who can allow us to get the ball quicker into our attacking players before the opponent's set themselves. Gray, Maddison and Albrighton have been anonymous, but I don't necessarily blame them as they never get the ball in dangerous areas as we are so laboured. A bit like Ranieri second season where Mahrez got nullified as he was doubled up, and we were so slow in working the ball to him.

If Mendy and Ndidi are going to continue to lose their men then they atleast need to close them down quicker. Mendy could be seen at least trying to get there but Ndidi AGAIN is just jogging around. He needs a wee spell on the bench to waken him up.
Guest Posted 15 December 2018 Posted 15 December 2018 Not good. First 20 minutes we were rubbish. Giving the ball away continually. Then we came into the game but Ndidi has been atrocious, Mendy should have closed the goal scorer down, Maddison has been non-existant and Iheanacho hasn't touched the ball. Has Vardy done any better today than Nacho in the last game? I think Iborra on for Ndidi is a must and Nacho on for Albrighton. Bright points: Wes has been pretty good and Fuchs the best player on our team today.
