Vardy transfer request rumour

It's the last time I'll mention it because it gets boring, but you haven't helped yourself. Clearly you don't like Puel for numerous reasons and that's entirely your prerogative. But when you are openly so vocal about it and you are seen to negatively frame certain things, like Vardy being rested as actually being "dropped". Then people are going to wonder how much your personal opinion has altered how you decided to frame a certain piece of news.

I'm sure you'll say one mans rested is another mans dropped, but I would disagree. There are many other negative aspects involved when a player is dropped (especially arguably our best) over just resting an injury.

The issue then becomes, well if he's prepared to frame the resting of a player so negatively, is he doing the same with other news? If for arguments sake Danny Simpson, Fuchs, King, Jakupovic, Okazaki and Silva whinging and whining because they don't feature and because they know their time is up if this manager stays, does that become "ALL the players have turned on the manager". Does Stowell, a goal keeping coach not getting listened to when it comes to match tactics become "Puel doesn't listen to staff"

I would absolutely expect there to be staff and players not happy, it would be weird if they weren't to be quite honest. Because it's a new manager dealing with legacy staff and players from multiple other reigns. Not signed or hired by him, it's going to be a grind to get everyone on side.

So whilst I'm sure you're absolutely correct in what you say is happening down there, it's the context that's massively important. If it's Maddison, Chilwell, Ricardo, N'didi, Kasper, Maguire, Grey, Albrighton, Mendy who are all fed up to the back teeth of him and nobody is on board with him, then it's a far bigger issue than if it's a group led by all the previously mentioned ones.

Hopefully this isn't coming across too attacking, it's meant as constructive criticism. I've appreciated all your posts in the past and will going forward.

You used to say geoff peters was the only ITK you trusted? And before that Percy?

I applaud Geoff for posting here but he has always been a very biased poster. There's nothing wrong with that but some people take his posts as gospel - it's more their problem than his. Just look at his championing of Jakupovic last season. For those of us with our own views it can get tiring.

As for Vardy, he's one of my favourite ever players but if he really put in a transfer request then I hope he's gone on January 1st. I don't want players who are not here because they want to be. It's a complete joke anyway because no-one is going to pay him what he gets here nor play him as much as he is here. He knows that and he'll never leave.

Let's go all out for a class replacement and call his bluff.

You have reached the maximum number of posts you can make per day.

in answer to the question below - the manager was bought in because the company was failing. If a broom and a good clean out is the only way to get the company back into a healthy state then so be it.

Whilst I agree with you to some extent.  How would you feel if you did a job that you used to enjoy but then a manager came in that you didn't really like, who you don't agree with and most of your colleagues felt the same?  You would probably look for a new job doing the same thing elsewhere.

The problem is, if a lot of the playing and non-playing staff feel similarly to Vardy, it's going to take a long long time to replace everyone and bring people in who are on the same page.

Is it possible that Vardy signed his new deal in the knowledge that Puel was on his way?

Then, after the disaster, we've had to stay as we were.

THAT night after the West Ham , after a terrible display ( imo) against 10 men and a lucky  deflection for our equaliser, I honestly wouldn't be surprised if a decision had been made before the helicopter took off.

Could well be wrong though?

I don't buy the Puel was sacked after west ham at all.

The practicalities are too improbable. Match finishes at 7.25pm. Puel fulfils some media duties at, say, 7.45pm. Gets called into Vichai's meeting room. Sacked say after a 5 minute meeting with hundreds of media and corporate guests around not noticing Puel exiting room.looking bewildered. Vichai  holds another brief meeting with senior staff to agree next move. cheerfully departs 30 mins later. All after a poor display and us sitting 11th in the table. Why the hurry?

Not only that, French media got hold of Puels mate first thing Sunday am to confirm his own safety.

Surely upon surely Puel would've privately mentioned, 'I just got ducking sacked aswell- I dunno what to do or say'

Third best striker in the league for me. Aguerro and Kane only ones better.

Potentially handed in a transfer reuest. Chelsea possible for him. He is absolutely essential to our team, we have seen how inept we are without him.

I love him but come on. He's not as good as Aubameyang. Yes he's vital to us and probably would get in Chelseas team but i can't see him leaving now. He had his chance to join arsenal and decided to stay and signed a new contract not that long ago.

Just let me know by replying on here anytime before then. Verification must be by posting on here through your usual account.

Unfortunately, edits of earlier posts will not be accepted as valid notification.

Presumably it's actually a decision had been made and there'd have been a meeting Monday morning to deal with it, not he'd been sacked immediately after the game

I mean we’re not still debating the fact he was gone after West Ham are we? It was plainly obvious, so much so it made me believe the rumour he was on the helicopter too at the time!

I wouldnt be surprised if afterwards there was some chat about the “right” time to announce things. I’m sure Puel knows this also. As I’ve said before he’s a classy bloke and I’d imagine he’d agree to anything Susan and the board have suggested.

What made it plainly obvious? I don’t remember hearing anything at the time, all this has come about from posts on FT very recently.

Even if that’s what the decision was at the time, there’s a decent chance Top may now have overturned Vichai’s original decision. Top did the same with Pearson’s phantom sacking after all.

Would love to know what made it obvious as well!

I’m prepared to take info from those who claim to know as being reliable ..... to that end, it would seem Khun Vichai was prepared to make a change.  With his passing, I wondered if Top would be comfortable to end puels contract, not knowing if his father would have sanctioned it ...... that’s changed now

I meant atmosphere leading up to, during and for a little while after... even the equaliser felt like it wouldn’t be enough.

He is irreplaceable unless a decent replacement is plucked out of nothingness. Renowned strikers are either out of reach or overrated.

Yes, and then as just clearly explained at length he seemed to bring his own personal opinion into it.

Was limping a tad in the first half and did not seem fully fit, was surprised he came out in the second but who else do we have.
