Vardy needs replacing eventually due to his age but we'd still be getting far more out of him under a decent manager.

It's short term pain for (hopefully) long term gain in terms of Vardy playing or not. Yes it was shit that he missed the cup game but I'd rather him miss one game as opposed to a few months of the season because of groin surgery or causing damage to the injury even more. 

But he was deemed fine to play against Palace, why not just rest him for the meaningless Palace game and play him against Man City? There isn't really much of a long term gain over this season either seeing as we have already given up on reaching 7th place.

Except he's missed 8 major chances this season already, whereas in all of last season he only missed 6, in 2016/17 he missed 6 all season as well. This is clearly not simply an issue with the manager or style of play, he is not converting the chances he does get as well as he used to. He's on target to miss 19 major chances this season, compare that with his last two years, including the season where it was almost entirely managed by Puel.

My problem is the downright wrong prioritising regarding the man city game.

Vardy could have got a knock in palace gam which stopped him from playing against man city, but judging from the comments and the rest of the team selction aganst man city compared to palace and also chelsea by the sound of it, it was no accident and all part o the plan.

 

The shit plan is my biggest problem. Didnt have a problem with last year as we could have got 7th or even higher but this year, no ****ing chance.

He is however capable of being the third most prolific striker in the league if played to his strengths.

11 in a row?. And Premier League strikers aren't exactly great. Vardz has been in the top 5 in the golden boot rankings for the past 3-4 years, hasn't he?

Why was the Palace game meaningless if we'd have won that we could have moved up to 7th, A position that nigh on everyone was expecting us to achieve, If Vardy had been left out of that game and we'd lost this place would have melted down quicker than it did with him playing and us losing.

 

Fans have big ambitions to finish 6th, maybe less now but not before we played Palace.

He scored 20 goals last season, he's missed an absolute barrel load this season, he's getting more SPG than he was the season before Puel arrived. His expected goals stats are only fractionally less than they were our title winning season and a lot higher than all our other seasons. Quite simply put, if he'd not missed so many chances this season he'd most probably be third in the top scorer list.

Sadly, when people frame players being rested as being "dropped". I just can't believe a word they say, because they are purposely framing things a certain way to either wind people up and get a reaction, or in an attempt to swing people to their point of view.

look, he may well be carrying some sort of injury but as someone alluded to a few days ago, it’s amazing how quickly people recovered from injuries in the championship winning season..

Vardy literally said we couldn't have risked him playing twice in such a short space of time. He didn't have to say anything about it, but was very open about us treating the injury with care. If he's not meant to like Puel as people keep making out he could have played up to it or said something different or nothing. 

 

As for injuries healing quicker, I'm not sure what that's even meant to mean. Not a single person here knows what injuries players had that year, what they've got this year and the differing severities of them. It's another case of 2+2= 3,675.
