Any fecker at all ? Is Ndidi thriving in the middle of the park in this great new system, after showing so much potential ? He is, ever so slowly but surely, sucking every living breath out of the team Bar Maddison & Ndidi, those players don’t suit any style of play. They are all not good enough.

Wasyls Pec Deck Posted 21 December 2018 Posted 21 December 2018 I can’t see anyone paying him what we are, and he’s on a long contract. And why would we sell? Can’t see it myself.
filbertway Posted 21 December 2018 Posted 21 December 2018 If he wants to play for a team that smashes the ball over the top all the time, there's plenty in the lower half prem and championship teams to choose from. Can't imagine they'd pay him a fraction of what we do though.

In the wake of the tragedy, the VC will have, I suspect, little appetite to sack now. However, there's a risk leaving it until the end of the season if the divisions in the dressing room (and amongst the fans) continue to widen.
l444ry Posted 21 December 2018 Posted 21 December 2018 Doubt he's the only *unhappy* player on the books. If any other big time players indicate the same it would pose a serious question to the club. Puel would be on very thin ice if he isn't already.

Sacking the manager and bringing in a new one that causes a division is the only sensible decision really.

Legends but how many times can we let this group of players dictate who they fancy playing for. You seem to be pally with a couple of them so I get you're going to back them, but surely this can't carry on until the likes of Vardy leave.

GingerrrFox Posted 21 December 2018 Posted 21 December 2018 Journos and players who are slowly being shown the door have an agenda against Puel. Can’t blame them really as human instinct is to protect yourself but to be honest I’m personally fed up of it now. I thank Vardy, Morgan, Simpson et al for what they achieved but everything moves on in life. They are the past and we must start looking to the future.
Matt_Lcfc Posted 21 December 2018 Posted 21 December 2018 Don’t believe it. dont get how he thinks Puels style doesn’t suit him when he’s netted over 25 times & apart from the title winning season, had his best year last season in a pretty poor side. who would pay 150,000 a week for a 32 year old? They’d have to pay a premium too, given he’s only just signed a 4 year deal too

ClaphamFox Posted 21 December 2018 Posted 21 December 2018 In that interview he's careful to use the usual polite football player stock phrases ("it's up to me to adapt", etc), but he's making it as obvious as he can do that he's not happy playing under Puel. The transfer request story may well be true.

Leicester City football club is bigger than Wes Morgan, Danny Simpson, Shinji Okazaki, Christian Fuchs and Jamie Vardy. We need to build for the future, the club from the top down (no pun intended) want to build a whole club identity similar to Ajax. That’s the most important thing, it’s a long term vision. When it’s holding us back and it’s a key player involved yes, when it’s arguably holding the team and key players back even more so.

And please dont tell me I'd have moaned if he did that because i woudnt, as that is exactly what i wanted/expected him to do, if it was necessary, which injury wise, it looks like it was.

WestLothianFox Posted 21 December 2018 Posted 21 December 2018 Maybe my memory is not what it was, but didn't Vardy's wife respond or like a tweet or something a few months ago about the very same thing, that the playing style did not suit him.

I think he would do well at a side like Chelsea they create plenty of chances unlike what he is getting here. Also he's as good as or not better than what they've got there in my opinion.

Kitchandro Posted 21 December 2018 Posted 21 December 2018 Doubt it but would not blame him if he did. Puel insists on isolating him. He is one of the best strikers in Europe and he's feeding off scraps. There's a lot of bullshit banded around about him needing the ball over the top and having to play in a certain type of team, which is not true. He scores all types of goals and constantly made something out of nothing last season. But every striker needs some sort of service eventually. Every good striker is better off playing in an attacking team that creates chances and provides him with opportunities to find space. People rightly criticise Iheanacho for his effort but Vardy's struggles to score this season highlight what a woefully poor manager puel is. No striker would enjoy playing in this team. This is not just the end of an era, it's a sinking ship. No ambitious player would want to play here because it's a club with no ambition. We couldn't even be arsed to play our first team in a cup quarter final for Christs sake so we clearly have no interest in winning trophies or getting into Europe. Vardy needs replacing eventually due to his age but we'd still be getting far more out of him under a decent manager.

TeaMen Tom Posted 21 December 2018 Posted 21 December 2018 In American sports when it comes down to a tussle between the star player and coach - it's usually the coach that goes. It will be interesting to see what happens here. If the team were playing consistently well under Claude it would be one thing. They're not.

But if he against Man City and got injured even more, we'd be cursing Puel for playing him and causing long term injury. It's short term pain for (hopefully) long term gain in terms of Vardy playing or not. Yes it was shit that he missed the cup game but I'd rather him miss one game as opposed to a few months of the season because of groin surgery or causing damage to the injury even more.

And when the next manager comes in and decides it's perhaps not the best idea to build your team around a 32 year old forward, average players like King, players passing or past their prime like Simpson and Fuchs. If anyone comes in and decides it's not really a long term strategy to play hoof ball with a load of 30+ players, there is going to be unrest, there is going to be division. I'd expect nothing more than players to be unhappy, because moving away from them is going to cause unrest as they are no longer wanted. Like him or loath him, he's doing the dirty work with the squad that someone like Shakepeare (a popular man with the players) wouldn't have done. It's not a popularity contest. Any chance the people moaning are those that fit into this category of player? I'd shed no tears if the bloke got sacked tomorrow, but how many more times do we need to have players behind the sacking of the manager, leaking shit to the press. They shouldn't be the ones in charge.
