Gwyn Posted 16 January 2019 Posted 16 January 2019 If Claude Puel was sacked after another "turgid" (WTF is it with this word) performance against a quality Wolves side, could anyone, even an outer stand up and say he has left the club worse off than when he joined? This was a long term plan. We ly in 8th with a squad full of kids. And we know that you can't win anything with kids right? Please discuss...

mozartfox Posted 16 January 2019 Posted 16 January 2019 I doubt FT will influence this on-going epic. This is becoming as boring as Brexit. Puexit blah blah every day.

I understand, however other people don't, we are 1-2years off being a force but people want it right here right now.

Guest Bob Hazels shorts Posted 16 January 2019 Posted 16 January 2019 Only thing to cling on to is the believe that Puel has a vision and a squad of kids? Total myth. The average age is nothing out of the ordinary and some players are new to us and the country and seen as young We have fielded youngsters before as below and yes we have bought younger players. Nothing usual or that credible there. You don't replace a old car with one the same age. Peake 17 Buchanan 16 Lineker 18 Williams 19 May 18 O Neil 20

Those players above, did they all play t the same time? Must have missed that.

UniFox21 Posted 16 January 2019 Posted 16 January 2019 The team is in a hugely better position than when he took over. We've managed to reduce the number of ageing pros in the team and replace them with young, talented players.

I don't think there is long term plans now a days mate, look at Jose at Man United, can you match CP with Jose
Monk Posted 16 January 2019 Posted 16 January 2019 He won’t be sacked with the current environment of financial uncertainty for the club. People should just wake up and realise it’s not happening.

Having lost worse home games than us. For exactly the same reasons as us. Playing exactly the same style of football as us. But we're useless and they're great.

Sir Shep Posted 16 January 2019 Posted 16 January 2019 For a long time I’ve been frustrated with how we are playing but it’s not lost in me as to how bad the hoof ball was under shakey and the second season of Claudio. Frankly I’m just hoping it comes to fruition eventually but the more games lost/poor performances the more I’ll probably want a change.

Please discuss... i think you are missing the point. some people want to finish as high up the league as possible and some people want to be entertained and watch entertaining football - It DOES appear that you won’t get both with claude Puel. No one is 100% right or wrong- it’s a personal preference. what leaves a bitter taste in my mouth is the insults being hurled from either side. No one is a retard, no one is dumb or stupid or delusional for preferring one thing over the other..
Corky Posted 16 January 2019 Posted 16 January 2019 Has he done an amazing job? No. Complete failure? No. Are we in a decent position should he leave soon for the next man to take over? Yes. As ever, the reality lies somewhere in between the extremes. He's an average manager doing an average job. We can improve when he goes but it could be worse- we'll wait and see.
