I hope for your sake that the reverse isn't true now and we end up sending Silva out there only for Tielemans to end up at spurs ?

I get that some posters are less than optimistic there is no option to buy, but you could look at it this way.

WBA didnt have an option to buy Harvey and although loaning him out to them has helped us no end to improve the player and up his price. I think its only fair to say they wouldnt be sitting 4th in the league if they had turned down the loan. ie it benefited both clubs and the player.

For me its a win win situation, i would be more than hesitant if Adrian was being used, but he isn't (rightly or wrongly) as a club we don't have much to lose. There is perhaps 1 scenario which would be less than optimal and thats if Silva is shit for them, but then its highly unlikely he wouldn't have been any better for us either.

Don't really get the fuss about the option to buy.

If we negotiate one with the loan, they'd probably want between £30-£40m

If he does brilliantly then that looks like good value

If he does OKAY but we think we can improve him if he signed permanently, then not having an option to buy means we can try more for a £20-30m deal in the summer.

Agreed, but I think the issue is if he does brilliantly although we will have built up some goodwill with the player, any top 6 team will be a more attractive proposition and off he goes. By adding a first refusal it at last gives up the option and if we deem that too expensive at the time we can walk away.

Claude has found a useful role for Ghezzal which will contribute to our future success at last.....he's driving his old mate Tielemans to his medical.

Hopefully Ghezzal doesn’t lose control of the car like he does the ball

Is this just a joke? I saw ghezzal at a petrol station in stoke on the way back from the match last night.... Wasn't sure if he had tielemans in the car or not. (Actually a true story!)

It is but I think it's the sort of thing a club may do, involve a friendly face to make him welcome.

When the right hand side lane is completely clear to drive into he bizarrely opts to cut across to the left hand lane into heavy traffic.

It's all gone quiet.

Not really, he’s expected to be at the stadium this afternoon, this will happen.

Percy (with a dig at Puel, natch - just can't help himself) and Tanner have both reported it's imminent.

Didn't see anything with a dig? He deleted it?

Nah, still up there.

When it's no secret that the team has refused to allow Puel to use Silva because of the usage clause in the transfer fee.
