moore_94 Posted 31 January 2019 Posted 31 January 2019 Cannot wait to see all the Spurs fans kick off on twitter and fighting cock when we announce Tielemans and they don’t even though they have also sent a player on loan on Monaco

Suzie the Fox Posted 31 January 2019 Posted 31 January 2019 I get that some posters are less than optimistic there is no option to buy, but you could look at it this way. WBA didnt have an option to buy Harvey and although loaning him out to them has helped us no end to improve the player and up his price. I think its only fair to say they wouldnt be sitting 4th in the league if they had turned down the loan. ie it benefited both clubs and the player. For me its a win win situation, i would be more than hesitant if Adrian was being used, but he isn't (rightly or wrongly) as a club we don't have much to lose. There is perhaps 1 scenario which would be less than optimal and thats if Silva is shit for them, but then its highly unlikely he wouldn't have been any better for us either.
AjcW Posted 31 January 2019 Posted 31 January 2019 Don't really get the fuss about the option to buy. If we negotiate one with the loan, they'd probably want between £30-£40m If he does brilliantly then that looks like good value If he does OKAY but we think we can improve him if he signed permanently, then not having an option to buy means we can try more for a £20-30m deal in the summer.
CosbehFox Posted 31 January 2019 Posted 31 January 2019 He’s been on the phone to Wasyl as an Anderlecht legend and the big man couldn’t speak highly enough of us
whoareyaaa Posted 31 January 2019 Posted 31 January 2019 If Silva does well there then I'd imagine we'd stump up the cash if this bloke is any good and use Silva as part of the deal. if it all goes through like

Agreed, but I think the issue is if he does brilliantly although we will have built up some goodwill with the player, any top 6 team will be a more attractive proposition and off he goes. By adding a first refusal it at last gives up the option and if we deem that too expensive at the time we can walk away.
fazzyfox Posted 31 January 2019 Posted 31 January 2019 Claude has found a useful role for Ghezzal which will contribute to our future success at last.....he's driving his old mate Tielemans to his medical.

Is this just a joke? I saw ghezzal at a petrol station in stoke on the way back from the match last night.... Wasn't sure if he had tielemans in the car or not. (Actually a true story!)

Deeg67 Posted 31 January 2019 Posted 31 January 2019 Percy (with a dig at Puel, natch - just can't help himself) and Tanner have both reported it's imminent.

Quote "He has since been frozen out by Puel and now replaced, despite being a key player for the Portugal national team." When it's no secret that the team has refused to allow Puel to use Silva because of the usage clause in the transfer fee.
