I’m resigning the Puel In whip and joining the Puel Outers.

He has to go ASAP or we’re in serious danger of getting in a relegation battle. This is simply not good enough.

Also I have a tenner on him being the next manager sacked so if we could get on with it that would be lovely.

Posted this in the other thread but....

It's a massive shame but I just don't think it's ever going to click for Claude here. We're in horrendous form and dropping like a stone. I hate to say it but I think we need a change before it gets really serious.

I've got to admit I was wrong. I really thought it was about to drop in to place for Claude but I think now we have to say thanks for everything you've done off the pitch but on the pitch is ultimately where it counts and the results have been awful for a while.

I still think his drive to shift out the old and bring in youth was the right one but it seems he just can't inspire the players.

Quite frankly the biggest gamble right now is to keep him.

We’re in a spiral right now. It won’t ever work for him here.

Totally agree.

I'm pretty staunch 'give Puel the summer window' because I'm a big fan of his recruitment and general philosophy, but it's getting hard. This team is just having one of those seasons - they were rampant before the Batshuyi goal, which was such a shithouse goal - we've gone down 1-0 so early in SO MANY games its literally impossible to know how the 'game plan' is suppose to work - you can blame Claude for that as much as you'd like, but ANY manager would be short of answers conceding that many early goals, and there's literally no way its ALL the coaching. I think everyone involves needs a win, no matter how sloppy, to calm the nerves. We'll see if Claude makes it to that point. I still think we won't see any change bar the bottom 3 before summer.

It wasn't even early, it was like the 40th minute - we just completely capitulated.

I think Puel is king buttttttttt looks like my support of the king is on the decline as much as I want him to sort this out.

Think we could probably benefit from some new ideas now we have all these youngsters bedded in a bit. Dont trust the club to get anyone decent though, probably Mark Hughes after 2 weeks of desperately searching for someone new.

Will be interesting to see how the next manager tackles this whole situation.

I agree, this one was exceptional but the reaction was the same - it was a fluky, against the run of play score and it deflated ALL of them. Yes, we managed to equalize but you got the sense it was the sum of all the effort they could manage. In hindsight, 1-1 doesn't sound so bad.

The problem is Puel does not want Vardy in the team, Puel does not want to play Vardy style of football, but without Vardy we can't score. We have no other strikers. For Puels style to work he needs another season.

Same for me. Was Puel In but this was the final straw (only watched the 2nd half though admittedly).

If Top doesnt want to change things given a difficult season losing his father then we should respect that but we should be lining someone up to start at the end of May and binning off Puel then.

We arent going down though. Safety mark will be around 35pts I reckon at most.

His signings are decent but his tactics and leadership style is quite clearly diabolical

That’s a win, where’s that coming from ??

I've tried hard to give him a fair chance, but this is awful, we haven't won at home since Boxing Day. Get rid to stop the rot then get a full time manager in the summer.

He should have been sacked last summer, we've been patient with him and given him time to implement what has turned out to be a nonexistent philosophy. Now we're at risk of being pulled into a relegation fight. He's tactically inept, has zero personality, no rapport with the fans and when family members of key squad members are voicing their discontent it says it all, really.

Reasons why you’d be Puel in:

- He’s getting rid of deadwood and the old guard

- He’s playing young players

- He’s given 3 of our youth players game time.

- He’s trying to develop a style of play

These are all reasons that are not unique to Puel. He isn’t the first manager ever to promote youth.

A new manager could come in and do everything Puel is doing and hopefully more. Get him out.

Must win game today.  Critical to avoid defeat.  We get absolutely hammered.  We are close to being in a death spiral.

Time to get this clown out of our club ASAP.  His appointment has been an absolute catastrophe.  The majority of fans were underwhelmed at his appointment, held no high expectations, and he's succeeded in disappointing us even still.

IMO for the short-medium term health of the football club it's imperative he is removed from his position by Monday.

For reference, here is his win percentage against similar performing managers:

Puel 35.4%

Sousa 33.3%

Holloway 28.1%

Megson 33.3%

Kelly 33.3%
