We have no other strikers. For Puels style to work he needs another season. Completley right time for a change
Robin JD Popley Posted 23 February 2019 Posted 23 February 2019 Four straight home defeats for the first time since 2000 7 losses in 9 Second year running Palace do the double over us This should be his final game as our manager. But how many times have some of us said that?
don_danbury Posted 23 February 2019 Posted 23 February 2019 the wins v chelsea and man city really masked over a shit season.
lozzyblue fox Posted 23 February 2019 Posted 23 February 2019 Did he go and hug all the palace players before comiserating with our players!!!
Dan Posted 23 February 2019 Posted 23 February 2019 He's got to go before we're pulled into a relegation battle.
TheUltimateWinner Posted 23 February 2019 Posted 23 February 2019 Yes we need to give Puel another summer so we can work the ball wide and put a low cross into an empty box. We somehow simultaneously have too many players in the same place but not enough players in the right place. We’re a cluster**** under Puel.
nettle Posted 23 February 2019 Posted 23 February 2019 Picked his buddy Ghezzal again, took him off at halftime again how many times is that now? Decisions like that are the reason he needs sacking absolutely useless.

Nod.E Posted 23 February 2019 Posted 23 February 2019 What would be our answer to Solskjaer? Feel like we need an interim manager before making a considered approach for somebody like Rogers in the summer.

foxes21 Posted 23 February 2019 Posted 23 February 2019 Just now, Nod.E said: What would our answer be to Solskjaer? Feel like we need an interim manager before making a considered approach from somebody like Rogers in the summer. Do you mean an ex player who could come in like Solskjaer on a ‘interim’ basis? I can’t really think of any ex players who have gone on to be successful in management. Maybe Cambiasso? His last gig was as a coach for Columbia at the World Cup I think.

This team is just having one of those seasons - they were rampant before the Batshuyi goal, which was such a shithouse goal - we've gone down 1-0 so early in SO MANY games its literally impossible to know how the 'game plan' is suppose to work - you can blame Claude for that as much as you'd like, but ANY manager would be short of answers conceding that many early goals, and there's literally no way its ALL the coaching. I think everyone involves needs a win, no matter how sloppy, to calm the nerves. We'll see if Claude makes it to that point. I still think we won't see any change bar the bottom 3 before summer. No. They weren't. We had 14 attempts on goal yet they were virtually all long range hit and hopes that had more chance of knocking someone's pie out of their hand than scoring a goal. That is because when we get to the final third, the space is squeezed, the defence is set and there is nowhere to go. Palace had set up to allow us to play in front of them knowing that we can't hurt them. It was easy for them.
cropstonfox Posted 23 February 2019 Posted 23 February 2019 Puel does not want sacking but redeploying to assistant Youth Coach. He is not a premier league manager and never will be.You dont experiment in the cut and thrust of the Premier league.
