ceebeefox Posted 25 February 2019 Posted 25 February 2019 We've had enough money wasted on players from abroad never mind managers. We could've got two better players from the Championship for what Ghezzal cost for example. No risks this time, premier experience necessary please, and someone who can be understood by press, fans , and more importantly, the players and staff.
VLC86 Posted 25 February 2019 Posted 25 February 2019 You have to ask how many with no premier league experience turn out to be decent, the answer is not many.
Aus Fox Posted 25 February 2019 Posted 25 February 2019 It’s all about young Mexican manager Juan Nigella De Persona, had a tough time in Belgium but definitely has the no nonsense attitude we need now.

For each and every one of them you have a Pelligrino, Guidaline and Felix Magath so don’t even try to say that your post proves me wrong.

To be fair a lot of the ones with Premier League experience turn out shit as well. I'd rather get someone from abroad who's on the up with a positive, refreshing mentality than pick some mouldy, negative, washed up has-been off the conveyor belt like Hughes or Pardew.

True, I would as well to be fair but I just don’t buy the clamour for an exotic name just because it isn’t known. You just have to look at a certain French blokes record abroad to realise that the risk of appointing a foreign manager with no experience here far outweighs someone with experience.
knitro Posted 25 February 2019 Posted 25 February 2019 If I were a foreign manager this would be the last place I'd want to come unless my English was impeccable - considering how Puel's command of the language was mocked and pulled apart so.

Are board will just go with the betting favourite and that seems to be Brendon. I agree with you, there are quite afew up and coming young managers out there, but there for the Premier leagues top 6 clubs! Really?? Nobody was predicting Sven, nobody was predicting Claudio, Pearson wasn't favourite for re-apppintment?. in four appointments they've surprised 3 times?

Sorry, could have written this in a number of threads. The season we won the title it was like Ranieri just forced quit Footy Manager over and over until he got the result we wanted. We just kept performing ridiculous comeback one after another in the early part of the season. Seriously go and play Football Manager and try to win the league on your first play through without cheating. Ranieri did it for real!!! (I agree with the point you’ve tacitly made here)

The last time I played that, I won everything with York. Kinda gone off it a bit for now.

Crispin LA Posted 25 February 2019 Posted 25 February 2019 Marco Rose looks the business, he got an impressive win to games ratio with nearly 80%, hardly loses a game. Read Man United are interested if thay don't get Poch.

Younger, and slightly better in terms of win ratio. Philip Cocu also a potential candidate. Tough times at Fenerbahçe, but done well in the Netherlands before that.

Not to sure about Peter Stoger and Heiko didn't do to well at Bayer. Agree with you that Philip Cocu is an ideal candidate, willing to play youth and wins titles.

Finnegan Posted 26 February 2019 Posted 26 February 2019 Peter Stoger's Koln played 442 with a hard working Japanese forward playing behind an outright 9.
