lcfcfoz Posted 26 February 2019 Posted 26 February 2019 Fulham at home. Ranieri returns should make for some atmosphere. Would love loads of banners for Ranieri and give him 1 last send off as it's possible Fulham will be going down and this could be his last visit to the king power stadium.

I like the sentiment but I’m not sure loads of banners for the opposition manager on our new managers home debut is a great idea...

He will visit the king power again as will many of the other total winning staff/players. Banners and all that are not needed give him a good clap and song after the game.
Bourbon Fox Posted 26 February 2019 Posted 26 February 2019 Give him a warm welcome but let's not lose our sh*t... People might think we're still dining out on our title win
foxfan92 Posted 26 February 2019 Posted 26 February 2019 Hopefully after a really positive opening away game against Watford we start off on Rodgers first home game in charge on the front foot. This is a really interesting statistic and long may it continue, with some interesting comments from Liverpool fans about Rodgers time there too (although to be fair they reflect what most people have said - tactically good but awful signings). https://mobile.twitter.com/premierleague/status/1100532979535884289?ref_src=twsrc^google|twcamp^serp|twgr^tweet
Xen Posted 26 February 2019 Posted 26 February 2019 We showed our appreciation when we chanted his name as he walked around the pitch in the remembrance fixture. He'll get a clap as a sign of respect but anything more than that is unnecessary. As soon as the game kicks off he's the enemy* until the final whistle and we need to get behind OUR manager instead. *on a slightly related note, it baffles me why we were repeatedly clapping knockaert whenever he was about to take a corner or similar. Again, show appreciation before/after but to cheer the opposition is ridiculous.
Chester Dontlie Posted 27 February 2019 Posted 27 February 2019 I feel sad for Ranners whenever I look at the bottom of the table, they'll probably get relegated... That said take no prisoners, we should give them a proper tonking. Their defense is atrocious but we have to watch out for Mitrovic and Babbel, quality players

Our title winning manager is coming back, they'll probably shower him in chocolate sauce and get the birch to lick it all off.
sylofox Posted 27 February 2019 Posted 27 February 2019 What's the odds that someone on here will have cvnted Rodgers off before the Fulham game
Gazza M Posted 27 February 2019 Posted 27 February 2019 Hope Ranieri season 2 turns up for them in this one.
Guest bss9401 Posted 27 February 2019 Posted 27 February 2019 An alternative way of looking at it is how we show appreciation for someone who brought us success. He is their manager so giving his ego a stroke would not affect the game. I am in favour of clapping ex players when their names are read out before the game but agree that we don't want to give their ego and confidence a boost during the game.
Dan Posted 27 February 2019 Posted 27 February 2019 Must win game. It's must win because Fulham are shite.
urban.spaceman Posted 27 February 2019 Posted 27 February 2019 Time for @Union FS to bring out the LET SLIP THE DOGS OF WAR tifo and change Shakey’s face to Brendan’s. Was originally created with Claudio’s face too IIRC, which would be apt...
HybridFox Posted 28 February 2019 Posted 28 February 2019 no Claudio now so might as well smash the f*** out of them
fuchsntf Posted 28 February 2019 Posted 28 February 2019 I couldn't care if this is like the Brighton game, with a 5% improvement.... 3 points, will be enough..!! Nothing fancy...
