Koke Posted 7 May 2019 Posted 7 May 2019 These lot blow hot and cold. We should impose ourselves on them though and do the double over them.
copunk Posted 7 May 2019 Posted 7 May 2019 Can imagine they will be going full strength on thursday night so would expect to see fringe players for them in this, we can beat these, end the season on a high
Koke Posted 7 May 2019 Author Posted 7 May 2019 I just seen they are 3rd how did that happen? I think we can overwhelm them like we did to Arsenal. Kante won't play so that's a plus.
st albans fox Posted 7 May 2019 Posted 7 May 2019 Neither side have anything to play for ......... they need to try and keep their rhythm going, assuming they get a result on Thursday. Ngolo likely to be missing. Can we actually do the double over them ? Been a long time ........
WigstonWanderer Posted 7 May 2019 Posted 7 May 2019 Beating these would give us a good chance of finishing eighth which, excluding the miracle season would keep up the run of finishing higher each season.
Foxxed Posted 7 May 2019 Posted 7 May 2019 Soyuncu in defence. Start Hamza and Barnes. Gray instead of Marc. Put some academy players on the bench.
Aus Fox Posted 7 May 2019 Posted 7 May 2019 Farewell game for a few players, I would go: Kasper Simpson Morgan Evans Fuchs Gray Hamza Tielemans Albrighton okazaki Vardy With nothing to play for give Fuchs, Simpson and Okazaki a good send off. Chilwell, Maguire and possibly Madison will be playing Nations League in the summer so send them off now on an early holiday. Give done youth team lads a run on the bench see what they can do.

Absolutely not, keep the momentum going. Two end of season wins against Arsenal and Chelsea would indicate what our proper level is!
Nick Posted 7 May 2019 Posted 7 May 2019 There’s money to play for surely in terms of PL finishing position?
rachhere Posted 7 May 2019 Posted 7 May 2019 I want us to finish how we mean to continue. We can definitely push to finish in 8th place (we are the only ones who can overtake Everton who are currently in 8th, two points ahead of us, but finishing off at Spurs). I would go: Kasper Ric Evans Maguire Chilwell Tielemans Wilf Hamza Barnes Vards Maddison Subs Shinji Simpson Gray I really don't want to finish behind Everton.
Guest Papasmurf Posted 7 May 2019 Posted 7 May 2019 Would expect them to be resting players. Drinkwater may even get a run out on the bench.
StriderHiryu Posted 7 May 2019 Posted 7 May 2019 2-0 win. I think they will be thinking about the Europa League final, and they have already booked their Champions League place already. Rodgers has our team motivated despite not having much to play for, and will want to finish as high up the table as possible. If we end up 11th that would be pretty unjust in my eyes. For me the biggest talking point will be watching Tielemans like a hawk at full time. Will he do a Cambiasso style goodbye, or is he going to be here for one more season? I sure as hell hope it's the latter! It will also be great to give some well deserved applause to some of our legends that will be leaving the club. Simmo, Shinji and Fuchs (if he's going) all deserve a massive send off for what they've done for us.
AKCJ Posted 7 May 2019 Posted 7 May 2019 Unchanged. This side has done very well against two of the best sides in the country (one being the best in Europe). Bring Simpson and Okazaki on for sure.

RowlattsFox Posted 7 May 2019 Posted 7 May 2019 Chelsea will probably have eyes on Europa League final, but they'll want to finish 3rd to guarantee automatic CL qualification. Be nice to give a send off to a couple but we can't pick them all, Morgan in particular as new contract seems to have gone very quiet, but we want to finish 8th.

I thought his new contract was done and dusted?

I guess he simply might not know at this stage if he will be staying or not.

AjcW Posted 7 May 2019 Posted 7 May 2019 Given we can still finish bottom half I think we will be unchanged, i'd be shocked at anything else! (a couple of changes here and there, barnes for albrighton for example)

But I think he realised his body didn’t have it in him to do one more season hence his body language in that last game. My dream outcome is as is as soon as the match ends for the club to announce he’s signed! Monaco aren’t safe yet which probably plays into this. As soon as they are I’d expect them to buy Silva and sort out Tielemans one way or another.

Still, I'd like to finish on the front foot. Okazaki to come on late and score the winner off his tit.
LestaAl Posted 7 May 2019 Posted 7 May 2019 Would like a chance to give a standing ovation to Shinji and Fuchs at some point in the 2nd half.
