Bonkers last 10 minutes. It was a shame Granada couldn’t hold out. They would have been 2 points of a champions league spot; they’ve never been in Europe before. I went there on my year abroad, would bloody love it if they got Europa or more!

He's wasted the best years of his career there, one goal in a champions league final won't make up for it.

 

It's clear his passion is playing for Wales (and golf) but surely it's worth taking a pay cut to be happier somewhere.

He does have 80 goals for Real. Scored that beauty winner vs Barca to win the Cup.

 

I think he should have come back to the UK a few seasons ago though.

Ahh I may have underestimated his time there, lost interest in La Liga when peak Barca were disbanded. But yeah I still think he's at his best when he's the biggest fish in the pond.

Does @MC Prussian or anybody else follow Norwegian football who can explain who Bodo Glimt are and why they are beating most teams by a good 3 or 4 goals every game? Certain they were a second tier side a few years ago, I know they did well last year but thought it was a bit Leicester 15/16 (or Aug-Dec 2019...)

Bale and Madrid are both pri cks to be honest but the arrangement works well for both.

 

Madrid get Bale for certain games without caring about how he feels. He gets to pick up 600k a week without really doing anything every other game.
