He's wasted the best years of his career there, one goal in a champions league final won't make up for it. It's clear his passion is playing for Wales (and golf) but surely it's worth taking a pay cut to be happier somewhere.

Scored that beauty winner vs Barca to win the Cup. I think he should have come back to the UK a few seasons ago though.

But yeah I still think he's at his best when he's the biggest fish in the pond.

Certain they were a second tier side a few years ago, I know they did well last year but thought it was a bit Leicester 15/16 (or Aug-Dec 2019...)

Bale and Madrid are both pri cks to be honest but the arrangement works well for both. Madrid get Bale for certain games without caring about how he feels. He gets to pick up 600k a week without really doing anything every other game.
