Erling Haaland has won the Bundesliga's Player of the Month award for January despite having played just 60 minutes last month.

Nineteen-year-old Haaland, who joined Borussia Dortmund from Austrian side FC Salzburg in the January transfer window, played twice that month, scoring a hat trick on his debut against Augsburg and netting twice against Cologne.

In both matches, the Norway international came off the bench in the second half. Since then, Haaland has scored four times in as many appearances. "He's unstoppable," Dortmund coach Lucien Favre said. "It's fantastic as a coach to have a player like that."

Tough game ahead for Bochum tonight vs Stuttgart. A free hit really, the run of games after are all must wins.

Predictably put up a good fight but ultimately game up short due to a defensive error.

Martin Braithwaite signs for Barcelona as an emergency signing

How can that be allowed? Assume Leganes can't replace him??

Unfortunately there’s a very old quirk La Liga’s laws which allows this type of signing in the event of an injury.

Another unfortunate point is the majority of players in Spain have release clauses so Barca can avoid any negotiations with Leganes and just sort personal teams with the player.

A FINAL unfortunate point is that Leganes can’t replace Braithwaite but have applied to La Liga for a special exception as Braithwaite was critical to keeping them up.

The sad fact is next season after all of this, Barca will just offload Braithwaite (who will have hardly played) and Leganes will probably relegated as they have lost a key striker.

I don't get what the emergency even is?

Are Griezmann, Messi, Fati not all fit? And the best academy in the world?

So much for mes que une club. Sad times when Barcelona don't have some young Catalan waiting in the wings.

Basically if the injury is for more than 5 months they can apply to La Liga to seek a replacement. Funnily enough they had sold 2 strikers in the January window lol

It’s very disappointing and feel a lot for Leganes. That’s like Man City getting De Bruyne out for 6 months and pinching Grealish from Villa, it’s absolutely hamstrung them.

Tbf it's more like pinching Deeney from Watford or Puuki from Norwich, at least Grealish would be a good signing for a top team.

does anyone else think that Barcelona signing Braithwaite from Leganes is totally disgraceful??

the fact that a club can just go and buy another player outside of a transfer window and not allow the other club to replace.

just another example of big club bias.

Blame the Spanish FA.

I find Leganes' reaction a bit odd. Sure, it's a heavy blow to them. But please tell me they didn't know that law existed. Otherwise, their reaction would be rather foolish.

They've cashed in massively here. It's a large sum for a player who has never been prolific anywhere. Pacey and a work horse, sure, but for £15m they probably have a cushion should they get relegated.

Yeah, I read he fell out with the manager at Middlesbrough. One should always listen to both sides of the story, but what was his reputation with Esbjerg back in the days?
