Please I know we won the league so no need to mention it.

So pre-season 2015 compared to the squad of 2019 how confident was you and how confident are you now?

Personally I thought off the back of the great escape we would sit mid table. Then came the sacking and appointment of CR.

So expecting him to tinker it was another relegation battle ahead of us. 2019 I'm confident of a high finish Europe is definitely within our grast even a top four spot.

Times have changed and teams. But personally on paper the current team to me looks way stronger than our title winners did.

Difference is the 'top 6' teams are much stronger now.

City under Pep, Liverpool now a Klopp team, Spurs doing as well as could be expected under Poch.

Only Chelsea and Arsenal haven't improved, Utd arguably gone back a bit.

When we won the title all both Manchester teams and Chelsea had off years and the N.London teams are fundamentally flawed.

All those teams were strong before tbh, they just weren’t playing well or consistently enough. They were laden with star footballers that cost the earth and I don’t buy either that they were all in transition - all teams should be in transition of some sort...

We beat them all and the odds because of a crest of a wave dressing room spirit and a never ending run of results and playing some absolutely inspired football.

And that could be done again by somebody. I actually, don’t see Liverpool and Man City not having as few losses this season as they did last. I can see some complacency creeping in this season for both clubs.

This coming season it appears that the top 2 are untouchable, Spurs are Spurs and then the next 3 all have varying problems. It's easy to see why the likes of us, Everton, Wolves etc are hopeful of gatecrashing things but it's still a huge ask. I certainly am not ruling it out as we are strengthening our squad, Rodgers regime will be more efficient anyway i'd have thought so those two things over a full season ought to see us hitting 60-65 points anyway. Whether we can go any higher than that remains to be seen, we really do need another winger or versatile midfielder who brings goals and assists. I would love to see us scrape top 4 as well again and it is there for the taking but I also wince at this expectation we have. But fcuk it, this is what being a football fan is all about. The hope!

I had no expectations going into 15/16, I'd expected to be relegated the year before so the extra year was a bonus.

This coming season we have the potential to break into the top 6 and have so much promise.

2 very different expectations  tbh

We have a better squad than in 2015-16, but that golden season was a perfect positive storm for us when everything just clicked.

It won't happen again; it was a freak occurrence and I'm just grateful it happened to Leicester City and gave me the best year of my life!

Anything is possible. The squad is better than ever but then so are the other squads. I thought 2015-16 would be fine, but the title was beyond my imagination, even if I knew something good was happening at the tail end of 2014-15.

Something's happening that's positive, for sure. Whether or not the top 6 or 4 can be breached is another matter. Here's hoping for a fast start...

I legitimately believe there's a top three and a chasing pack of six that could all take the last CL spot.

Chelsea, United, Arsenal, Wolves, Everton and us.

I don't think Chelsea, United and Arsenal have been this weak since the Premier League started. They're abysmal, there's a genuine window of opportunity for a surprise candidate to qualify for the CL.

Our squad is technically far better. 2015/16 we had Mahrez as the stand out technical player (though that only came to light during the season). This year we have, I would say 5/6 technically gifted players.

It’s crazy to say it given what we achieved but this squad on paper is better then 15/16.

Are Benk, Evans and Maguire technically better than Morgan and Huth? Yes. But our tactics played exactly to Morgan and Huth's strengths. I don't think you can look at players on paper and say they're better than others - not completely and not with 100% certainty. Our league win taught us that. You have to account for so many other things: spirit, tactics, psychology and more. And the year we won it those things fell exactly into place.

Abysmal...??

I wish we had their abysmal periods!!

I am sorry but we really are underrating

The strength of the top 6...

If we beat those 3 abysmal teams by 1-8pts to clinch 4-5th....That means we are just as abysmal...??

The PL in my opinion,as a league is stronger & more difficult, not because of any struggles at the top,but because

The so called lower clubs, including the

Newly promoted ones are getting better, and the quality of players is being spread more evenly...

There will be a couple of teams that just

Collapse,or just not get off the ground, but even they will have some quality in their ranks....

Until Man.city win not once but a couple of European pots,I will not be convinced

they can go down as greats..Though they are good and entertaining to watch.

That said we do tend to overhype our

Title winners, where actually none have gone on to dominate Europe.....

That's why L'pool belong up there with European greats.

I believe it's the quality of competition ,

and players,up & down our PL that makes it hard and entertaining than other European  leagues.but we fans

of clubs like ours, do underrate the

Strength, consistency ,discipline and quality of those fringe & young  players at those top 6 clubs...

Until now no team, has managed to set root into that fixed clubs of 5-7,and stay to keep any present top club, out of those top 6 places....

Leicester ,Watford and Wolves, still have a massive chasm to spring across.

I'm just glad VAR wasn't around in 2015-16, when nightclub bouncers Huth and Morgan were politely saying "you're not coming in here"

In the summer of 2015 before Pearson was sacked I thought we had an outside chance of qualifying for the last European spot because our great escape really felt like something had clicked. But then when Pearson was sacked and Cambiasso confirmed he wasn't coming back, my hopes were deflated. But I still thought we would be safe from relegation as Ranieri though a left-field appointment was still experienced in the league and our team was good. The first game of the season had a great buzz about it and fans were excited instead of being nervous, which I felt really transmitted to the players and helped them perform.

This season expectations are much higher. To be honest I think the club has under performed during the last two seasons and should have beaten Burnley, Wolves and Everton (who finished above us in the last two seasons) to 7th place. Last season was slightly more understandable due to Vichai's death and the squad being so much younger and not replacing Mahrez. But this season coming up I think the squad is the strongest it's ever been. The 15/16 first team was better, but we had almost no strength in depth whereas this time round we've almost got an embarrassment of riches.

As a result if we finished below 7th I would be disappointed unless we won a cup, though even then I would say finishing lower than 7th with our squad as it stands would seem like under performing. But that does depend on other teams as I could see Everton make some more big money signings and become a serious threat, which is worrying when they have already finished above us over the last two seasons.

We had 2 (at least borderline) world class players then and a perfectly balanced side.

Remove Mahrez and Kante and it's a close run thing.

The difference is that if you had said that there wasn't any reason we couldn't qualify for the Champions League if we're at our best in Summer 2015, you'd have looked madder than a box of frogs. 4 years later and it's a fair statement.
