What about Rotherham’s first goal?

Er ...was he the only one playing in defense??  All his fault?? I do not think so.

Does seem to go to ground early, which he did for first goal, and we've seen before I think.  Maybe this is something that can be coached out.

So I take it we did the "woooaaaahh you're shit ahhhh" chant without understanding that he's ours?

Yep every goal kick, and they weren’t the only chants at him either lol

4 years, I believe.

Two at most! I’m sure his shorter than usual contract for an expensive signing is totally down to them knowing as soon as you get to two years left on a contract, a bit more power shifts back to the player,  because clubs will think more carefully about doing a deal and  it letting it get down to one year left, which can open a can of worms.

Tielemans isn’t long for us.

It’s been said to death but having him is so important. It was a relatively quiet day for him, but the fact we have him and Maddison now if ones having a quiet game the other seems to step up. When it was just Maddison it was far too easy to stunt our creativity.

Was a decent day if very wet yesterday, only really annoying thing was on the way back to Leicester some silly blonde swerving all over the road, stuffing her face whilst driving at speed.

First time I'd been to the Bet365, was a lot smaller than I thought it would be.

Thought we were decent if only playing at what seemed 75% and with a pokey referee, though it was funny when he collided with the Stoke player.

A very decent pre-season so far. However, to make top6 I feel we are a striker and top quality winger away from this. Still too dependent upon Vardy for my liking.

I know, I was just countering the absurd gloom of someone already resigned to his sale, when he's only just joined permanently.

I'm not sure if we do need another winger. I think Perez will prove to be a piece of the jigsaw that has been missing. I think this season could be huge for Barnes. I think he could become a very valuable player for us soon. Albrighton has looked more dangerous this pre-season. There's also the option of playing JJ at RB and playing Ricardo on the wing, as well. I think Rodgers will get more out of each player than Puel would have.

Re: strikers. Tough one. If Vardy stays injury-free, no-one else will get a look-in. Now we've also got Perez who can step in. I know Iheanacho has been mostly rubbish for us so far, and I'm sure most people have written him off, but he's improving currently. Looks fitter and sharper, and more confident. In the unlikely event that both Vardy and Perez are both unavailable, and providing the crowd stay off his back, I believe KI could still come good. Again, it's yet to be seen whether Rodgers can get Kelechi playing effectively for us.

We'd find it tough to bring in a decent striker who's happy to sit on the bench every week. Anyone good enough will cost a fortune, and there's a good chance we'll never really need him. Strikers who are good enough for where we want to be, and who are also happy to hardly ever get on the pitch don't grow on trees. It's just not worth it.

If the club went out and got another versatile player like Perez, who can play as a striker or a winger, I'd see the sense in it, although I would worry that Barnes's minutes would be limited.

Well didn’t know how the squad would be split until late this week.

And it was the first time weve played at Rotherham’s ground on a weekend

I will counter your overt negativity with.......he signs a 5 year extension after we complete the treble treble :P yes highly unlikely but why live life in such a negative bubble? I bet you're a blast at parties.
