Atalanta match thread

Soyuncu is looking solid, passing well and is like shit off a shovel. Still not Maguire level but getting there with every appearance. Love him.

Would like to see Soyuncu be a bit braver in possession.

Whilst we all know 80m is great business for Maguire, this game might look a bit different if we had a centre half looking to break lines and beat the Atalanta press. Too many patterns of play resulting in Kasper forced to go long.

I guess this is the match to try it out, not much to lose otherwise.

Good workout that against a quality side... probably the perfect opponent pre Wolves.

Some final touches a bit off but to be expected in the first really competitive game when we're actually being closed down.

Perez has shown some real moments of quality and he really does run none stop.

Nice and quick, we are lacking in a bit of height and strength  at corners/set pieces though, maybe Ndidi will change that though as I see him needing to be a bit more involved in the box.

Can anyone sum up first half in brief? Missed it ...

Some good spells.

Sloppy passing to start, but working our way in.

Perez looks good, but needs to pick his head up more.

Some good stuff, should be up by 1

I think this is a great match for the final friendly. It's like pushing yourself that bit extra in the gym. Not so much that you have no chance, but enough that you know you are going to be hurting afterwards.

They were the better side in the half but we finished stronger, and could have been one up through Vardy.

Think Rodgers will get into the players a little. Atalanta are controlling the game for large spells, and our passing is not as fast or as crisp as theirs. Quite literally if we want to know how to improve, try to emulate their style of play, where they move vertically up the pitch very quickly but generally through quick ground passes as one-two's.

Before the game started...

Their players are technically better

Ball players.....I am not surprised, but we

are doing well,we are being pressed from quality players, for the first time...

Pre-season....

Anybody looking at any negatives...

Yep and Atalanta are better than bottom 6 sides in the EPL.  They are no mugs that’s for sure.

Vardy through I'd expect better from him.

Should maybe too strong, we've had chances.

edit; hold up, Evans free header too

in the team, not in the bloody team ... "non binary lesbians" ...

this is truly a shit match thread even by our standards.

You have to judge the thread though by how many are at the game.
