Dan Gliballs Posted 8 August 2019 Posted 8 August 2019 Thought this was new link back to us then! Lots of respect for Danny, but not a signing we need here now.
norwichfox Posted 8 August 2019 Posted 8 August 2019 Dyche probably getting Chelsea to pay 1st £110,000 of his wages a week.
The whole world smiles Posted 8 August 2019 Posted 8 August 2019 Good move for him, good chance to rebuild his career, don't understand the schadenfreude he was an absolute great player for us who was instrumental in winning the championship and premier league. Leicester loves you more than you will know (well some of Leicester)
STUHILL Posted 8 August 2019 Posted 8 August 2019 Curious to see how he does playing again. Interesting that even with a transfer embargo and new manager, he still wasn't wanted at Chelsea. Awful move for him but again, can't judge him too harshly as he probably genuinely thought he could make it at Chelsea. Good luck at Burnley! Needs to do well there or could see him dropping into the Championship next season if he can't stop the slide in reputation
One Arm Babba Posted 8 August 2019 Posted 8 August 2019 Good luck to him. He was important to us in our most successful season ever. He needs to get back to playing football. Burnley should suit him.
lifted*fox Posted 8 August 2019 Posted 8 August 2019 always loved DD when he was here. hard working and always beat himself up for his mistakes. was instrumental alongside Kante in our PL title. always thought Chelsea was a bridge too far (lol, sorry). can't help but find it a little bit funny he's ending up at Burnley. grass isn't always greener, eh.
Deeg67 Posted 8 August 2019 Posted 8 August 2019 Happy to see DD possibly get a chance to get back on the pitch. Apart from that it's a big nothingburger to me.

The inside of his wallet will be though.
Pliskin Posted 8 August 2019 Posted 8 August 2019 Glad to see he's got an opportunity to play again. Will forever be a great in my eyes.
SecretPro Posted 8 August 2019 Posted 8 August 2019 Not very good at making his bed. But, good move for him, might play a couple of games for a change until injury bites.

Hopefully that'll help him sleep easy at night and he won't be kept up thinking about how he went from a week in / week out starter at a progressive Leicester with England opportunities to being an immediately forgotten man at Chelsea who ended up on loan to Burnley.
Stevosevic Posted 8 August 2019 Posted 8 August 2019 Interesting to see how he does tbh. A full season of regular football could see his stock rise again.
Shane Posted 8 August 2019 Posted 8 August 2019 Hope he gets a warm reception at the KP. How he left wasn't great, but the dust has settled now... He was an important part of getting us back into the PL & of course the title win... Good luck to Danny, I hope he gets his career back on track
Gerard Posted 8 August 2019 Posted 8 August 2019 I thought he was absolutely brilliant in our title winning season and was probably our best player outside the obvious three. Drinkwater alongside Simpson were about the only two players to maintain their level at the start of the next season. His form dropped off a cliff after about November when there were rumours he had a hip flexor problem that he couldn't shake and then constantly got secondary injuries probably trying to protect his hip and putting pressure on other parts of the body to compensate. It was an amazing piece of business to get £35m for him when he'd been poor for six months. Good luck to him.
Arriba Los Zorros Posted 8 August 2019 Posted 8 August 2019 Wouldn't want him back here - we have much better and always thought he wasn't a team player in any case - even Pearson said he was a difficult person to manage. However since he did play an integral role when he won the title would like to see him get career back on track, shame its with such an immensely dislikeable club.

Libertine Posted 8 August 2019 Posted 8 August 2019 One of my favourite players of recent times - sad to see him wasted currently so glad to see him get back playing, even if it is Burnley.

foxfanazer Posted 8 August 2019 Posted 8 August 2019 Really wish him well. Instrumental in the title win. Don't understand the attitude towards him from some on here
