Guest Col city fan Posted 4 January 2023 Posted 4 January 2023 One of our better players overall last night, but that miss from Tielemans sublime cross… Well it was easier to score than miss. For a very experienced and well paid pro not to get their head over the ball before they shoot… basics, man, basics!

Also what about when he skilfully got into some free space, received the ball, got to the byline, and then the cogs in his head took so long to process it the ball went out of play before his foot got to the ball. The guys a fraud.

Cost us at least a point. Yesterday's was even worse than Chelsea A in 20/21

Nolucklcfc Posted 4 January 2023 Posted 4 January 2023 Perez is one of those moments players. Can have moments where he looks really quite decent, eg barnes goal at West Ham and in parts last night but he is incredibly average, scarily probably the level we are at.

Koke Posted 7 January 2023 Posted 7 January 2023 Easily our worst ever flop. At least Slimani scored for us in the Champions League and had other match winning goals. Perez has been 90% utter dog poo for most of his time here. His G+A output is pathetic beyond belief considering he's played in an attacking team that finished 5th twice. Pathetic player. 1
RonnieTodger Posted 7 January 2023 Posted 7 January 2023 He did pretty well against Fulham, but he was a disgrace today. So many times he looked half arsed and lost his head; then giving away daft fouls.
FoxyLeon Posted 8 January 2023 Posted 8 January 2023 He's not at the level we want, but he's not as terrible as we make him look either. I think he's a perfect player actually who highlights the flaws in our approach. He averaged over 8 goals a season in the Premier League at a Newcastle side that was either getting relegated, or fighting relegation. Here, in a side which has largely been fighting for European football, he doesn't average even half of that. It's largely because our setup lacks any kind of fluidity, we literally completely refuse to counter attack, or press high as a team. It's a bit like Gray in a way, but the opposite way around. Since leaving, Benitez and Lampard have got more out of him than Rodgers could.... And before joining, Benitez and Bruce got more out of Perez than Rodgers has. It further adds fuel to the argument that Rodgers can't improve players, which I think it largely the truth. 1
Harpenden Fox Posted 8 January 2023 Posted 8 January 2023 He’s such a lazy player. Loses the ball, looks to the skies, jogs back gently. If he tried he might actually be useful. I will be very glad when he’s gone. Such a waste of money
Koke Posted 8 January 2023 Posted 8 January 2023 Honestly this guy is a disgrace the more I think about it. Currently in his 4th season at City and he has 12 PL goals and 8 assists. In a team thar finished 5th twice and won the FA Cup. In a team that played incredible attacking football. For comparison Barnes has 27 PL goals in the same period. Vardy has 54 league goals since Perez joined us. How do you have 8 assists when Vardy and Barnes have a combined 81 PL goals between them since 2019??? This guy is a pathetic player and the biggest flop. Disgraceful stats. On top of the Vardy & Barnes stats, he's also had two of the best midfielders behind him in Tielemans and Maddison. Bin him off into the dustbin of history. He'd be the first player I'd bin off if given the chance.

Koke Posted 8 January 2023 Posted 8 January 2023 Just realised he scored hattricks against Southampton and Sheffield United. 6 of his 12 league goals came in two games ffs.

Ric Flair Posted 8 January 2023 Posted 8 January 2023 He is one of the players Rodgers has called for the club to sell this month and yet we are having to rely on him to start important games for us, it is just a horrendous situation we have found ourselves in. This is why we are in danger of going down, we have a clutch of players in this scenario and although they won't be deliberately not trying, it's inevitable there'll be a drop off. For a team that was the envy of the country as recent as a couple of years ago, this is diabolical. Heads should roll. 2

Kevin Russell Posted 8 January 2023 Posted 8 January 2023 Perez has been a huge disappointment at Leicester. I just don’t see the required pace, strength, skill or confidence with him. Plays well in flashes, but he’s never put together anything resembling consistent form for us. 1
