Jimmy Posted 2 January 2023 Share Posted 2 January 2023 he's one of only 4 attacking players we have fit with a coward in charge who won't give any U23s a chance when we need something so like him or not we badly need Perez right now

He has shown glimpses of ability but unfortunately he doesn't play for long periods and, when he does play, he is usually out of position. But a lot of our team are inconsistent, pretty much all of them.
JimmyC74 Posted 2 January 2023 Share Posted 2 January 2023 Not a bad player but we overpaid and then BR asked him to a job in a role he didn’t excel in. Not really a winger and nowhere near as effective as Madders in the 10. he was a fixture for a long time and contributed to two of our best league finishes but has drifted for some time.
fuchsntf Posted 2 January 2023 Share Posted 2 January 2023 Look what other so called Leicester stars are presenting... IMO Next to Maddison, Ayoz has given us our best moves,& passes. I actually believe since our FA.cup win, when selected & called upon,he's been one of the few,who as done is duty, and what was expected of him. Too many FTers are so spaced out on various individual players, they prefer to chase errors & mistakes of target player.. Like it or not, since that memorable day,it's been the (then) unfavourable players from FT,that have pushed us and themselves forward... Amartey, Maddison,Castagna, Perez, then KDH,& Faes have joined us... Since the FA.cup how many decent, exciting games have we played??

Ultimately, he'll go down as a poor signing, but I also fear we'll dream.of a signing like his in a few years... 😬🥺 A couple years ago, "not good enough for us" was a justifiable opinion on Perez. Now it is delusional. I think overpaying for him doomed him from the start in some eyes.
Raj Posted 2 January 2023 Share Posted 2 January 2023 Says alot about our current situation where we are literally having to come up with any feasible reason why a player just isnt useless! "He's great at giving the warm up shirts to Macca(The kit man!) so hes doing okay really"!!! "Yeah hes a poor signing but you know, he tried". It's like saying this inept Tory government is doing okay "Under the circumstances'

He seems to hold the can for all those listed.

They are ALL crap and bad signings. Doesnt mean he isnt. If i date an ugly bird after dating 5 other uglies, it doesnt make the last one any more prettier!!! The others still are young ish and MIGHT do something. We paid big bucks for Perez and hes failed. Not meaning to single him out but let's not make him out to be a good signing for us. StanSP Posted 3 January 2023 Share Posted 3 January 2023 Poor today. Missed our best chance from 6 yards then took his sweet fvcking time to cross the ball towards the end with players waiting to tap in. Looked a bit unfit too.

jv1 Posted 3 January 2023 Share Posted 3 January 2023 Showed again why he is unfortunately a complete waste of time and needs binned - bizarrely actually one of his better games - which tells you everything- does some lovely things - some really nice things but has absolutely zero and I mean zero end product - so pathetic and frustrating to watch - technically very good but such an absolute loser of a player - get rid
Blue-fox Posted 3 January 2023 Share Posted 3 January 2023 I’ll give him his due, he tries hard and cannot knock a player who is giving it their all. Just isn’t very good.

You can. Just because some of our squad seem totally disinterested I'm not going to go easy on a PL player just because they 'try', and that's not specifically aimed at Perez.
moseeds Posted 3 January 2023 Share Posted 3 January 2023 He's at best worth around 3million in the current market. Cannot see any Premier League club coming in for him. Would do well in the Championship or likely abroad in a generally slower league. Can't knock him, helped form 2 of our most recent incredible memories - an FA Cup and the 9-0. Not sure if that justifies a 30million price tag but what the hell, we've done far worse with 30million with our recent record.
South Shire Fox Posted 3 January 2023 Share Posted 3 January 2023 Did well in spells but end product is shite again like so many in this team. That miss in first half is unforgivable

He has flashes of brilliance but like a chunk of this squad, his mentality let's him down. He doesn't seem to have that obsession with wanting to deliver and win games and dallies on the ball or brainlessly blazes a high proportion of chances over the bar. His final ball is poor too. Will go down as a mediocre to poor player here in a very successful era except for his final part of his contract and that says it all. 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

Popular Post funkyrobot Posted 3 January 2023 Popular Post Share Posted 3 January 2023 (edited) He wasn’t anywhere near being one of the worst players out there today. He gets dogs abuse on here, in part because of the original transfer fee and maybe because he can lose the ball at times but also because he gets far less slack than other players. Today, Vardy, Barnes,Thomas, Amartey and Ndidi were far worse than him. Edited 3 January 2023 by funkyrobot

That miss from 5 yards out was unforgivable, so regardless of how poor those you describe were, Perez's miss as well as other gilt edged stuff make him the real villain. Cost us at least a point.
