NewburyFox Posted 9 November 2019 Posted 9 November 2019 I'm starting to really like him. He's a very clever player and is starting to link so well with Tielemans and Ricardo. He also contrasts well with Barnes' pace and direct running.
Paninistickers Posted 9 November 2019 Posted 9 November 2019 Although it'd mean tweaking the system slightly, he'd be the fall guy for me to allow Praet to play. This unseen work people talk about is the classic excuse for a popular but underperforming player His habit of being dispossessed will cost us a match at some point. Plus, he had a disappointing lack of speed at Palace for that breakaway which Barnes would've gobbled up 1 1
ScouseFox Posted 9 November 2019 Posted 9 November 2019 i think i love him tbh, great celebration, great guy, great hair 1
lcfcell Posted 9 November 2019 Posted 9 November 2019 feel like he’ll have a great game and score a goal or 2
BKLFox Posted 9 November 2019 Posted 9 November 2019 He will get goals, his confidence is up and he is starting to do those close control runs into the box with the ball more and more which will lead to a goal or penalty at the very least. Great work ethic, control, shooting ability and vision a massive upgrade on Shinji who didn't do too bad here.

By this do you mean completely unbalance the system and crowd the middle? Praet is a great player but unfortunately one of him, Maddison and Tielemans has to miss out in order for the system to work as well as it does now. 5

I think his measured evaluation of Perez a few pages back tells you where this is coming from; 'multiple attacking and midfield players are ahead of him in ability; Praet, Choudhary, Gray, Albrighton and Barnes are all streets ahead' 1

He's OK but the glaring weakest link. Even at Southampton their only chance came from a Perez error. It will cost us at some point. Too many confuse wanting a player to do well with him actually doing well. We are in the extraordinary position of having a player in just about every position that'd make most of the teams of the traditional top 5. The only two who wouldn't are perhaps Barnes, who's a developing talent, and Perez. Tells its own story. 2

What Choudhary has to do with it, feck knows, nor for that matter Praet, given you seem unable/unwilling to explain the 'tweak' required to swap him for Perez. It's clear to me the not-so-subtle shift towards having a go at his defensive lapses is a doubling down on your original point that he's all-round doggo. 1

This has to be one of the worst or funniest posts I’ve read on here.

Quite right though, were I a barrister I wouldn't present to the jury the 'Perez wouldn't make another big team' as fact. 2

Dulls the brain? mate, you can’t make up a fact then place that fact as evidence that tells its own story.

I have just used drongo though. See above.

Blue ROI Posted 9 November 2019 Posted 9 November 2019 He's been better for us the last few weeks. Since the end of the Liverpool game it seems to have lit up his own performance. Hopefully it continues tonight.
FireFox Posted 9 November 2019 Posted 9 November 2019 Ref wouldn't give him a free kick, but otherwise did alright I thought.
TheSomersetFox Posted 9 November 2019 Posted 9 November 2019 Thought he was good tonight. Fizzed a couple of dangerous balls in and linked up nicely again. Subbed off somewhat harshly but definitely the right call from Brendan who took the game by the scruff of the neck getting Gray on. Barnes's pace and power caused them all kinds of problems second half so right call keeping him on too. 7/10 for me and certainly outperformed Barnes while they were both on the pitch. Good management from Brendan yet again and shouldn't feel too disheartened at getting hooked early. 1
Charl91 Posted 9 November 2019 Posted 9 November 2019 Good performance from him. Deserved an assist really because put in some quality balls (though could have done better with his shot).
copunk Posted 9 November 2019 Posted 9 November 2019 Had a good game tonight I felt, unlucky to be subbed as I feel he was putting in a better shift then Harvey 4
Guest An Sionnach Posted 9 November 2019 Posted 9 November 2019 He is a good player Ayoze but still seems the odd man out in the Leicester attack , he could never do what Vardy does and Dennis Praet really should be starting , Barnes is quite capable of operating on both sides we don't need two wingers.

God strike me dead but I'm beginning to wonder If it would make sense to give Barnes a break and play Perez left and Gray right. Barnes not doing it for me at the Moment.
Guest Posted 9 November 2019 Posted 9 November 2019 Thought he was very good and the crosses he played in the first half deserved a goal. Can see why it was him that came off as we looked to be exploiting the space behind Kolasinac and Gray allowed us to stretch them. Of the wingers I think he's probably still first choice
