Without wishing to pry we don't know what they were, and how they may have affected him? What is obvious are the injuries he started picking up 2 or 3 seasons ago after playing virtually every game for us, and Nigeria, season upon season. Wilf is at his best a destructive defensive midfielder, and in his wisdom Rogers decided this was not enough and tried to making something he's not, and right now we are left with the shell of a player whose confidence is down the toilet. Obvious from the start with us that receiving the ball under pressure and passing were not his strengths. Soyuncu’s was against a very loose and aggressive Romero who could have easily seen red on another day as had very little control during that tackle.
