Guest TamworthFoxes Posted 1 October 2019 Posted 1 October 2019 Could be a good way to allocate away tickets rather than the current priority system. Might need to bring a sleeping bag the home game before Bournemouth away though! 😂

sacreblueits442 Posted 1 October 2019 Posted 1 October 2019 ....still talking about this!!!!!!!! I am always too busy watching the game to be distracted by people leaving before the final whistle!!!!!!!!!
foxinsocks Posted 1 October 2019 Posted 1 October 2019 I admired the newcastle fans still singing at 5 down... not sure any left early
Benguin Posted 1 October 2019 Posted 1 October 2019 You shouldn’t be allowed to leave your seats until the halftime whistle and the full time whistle. Nothing to do with embarrassment, just annoying having to miss parts of the game to let people get past me and then them stopping in an obstructive way because something exciting happens.

Maybe if they served the food and beer a bit quicker, people might not feel the need to go down before half time.

Voll Blau Posted 2 October 2019 Posted 2 October 2019 Do people have a right to leave early? Obviously. But... - The proportion of people leaving games early, whatever the score or kick-off time, has increased noticeably since the title win. - No doubt a percentage of those people have valid reasons for leaving early (especially at evening games for those who use public transport), but it's not going to be a high percentage. - I do wonder what the players think of it sometimes, especially after good or hard-fought wins. - It does look very odd, especially in situations where we're pushing for late winners/equalisers, to see dozens of folks streaming out of each exit. - Excuses like "it's no different from what happens at big clubs" is so fvcking lame. In short, do it if you want. But don't expect folks not to think you're a bit of a weirdo for doing it in when we're playing well or there's an exciting end to the match.
Chrysalis Posted 2 October 2019 Posted 2 October 2019 to me gridlock is part of the thrill of going to matches, stay till the final whistle, and post game celebrations. then leave.
Bayfox Posted 2 October 2019 Posted 2 October 2019 They are all season ticket holders and based on the price they pay in comparison to those paying on a match day they should actually be leaving closer to 55 mins as that's about how many minutes they have actually paid for

Hope you don’t have the temerity to start a valid thread on anything that merits discussion, people might call you a child or something 🤭😱 My mate is a season ticket holder and gets the train from Newcastle every time we play. some matches he has a short time limit to make the station and on occasions leaves a little early to ensure he makes his train, I don't blame him either
Guest worth_the_wait Posted 2 October 2019 Posted 2 October 2019 I was at Uni some years back. There were loads of us taking this exam at the end of term. I was thinking that there was gonna be massive queues at the end when everyone left. Anyway, this lad next to me got up 5 minutes before the end. I asked him why he was leaving early, and he said "it's my fckin exam paper, and I'll do what I fckin well like"
Spudulike Posted 24 October 2019 Posted 24 October 2019 I'm going to start leaving straight after kick off. No problems with the traffic then and I can be home with a nice cup of tea.
Nalis Posted 26 October 2019 Posted 26 October 2019 Would have been some effort to leave after 5 nil last night!
astoriafox Posted 26 October 2019 Posted 26 October 2019 I went to the EPIC record breaking and equalling match last night. Took my daughter for her first game, drove up from Devon. SSSHHH, but in Southampton family stand trying to be quiet as couldn't get Leicester tickets. Some home fans around us started leaving at 2-0!!!!
davieG Posted 26 October 2019 Posted 26 October 2019 A case of leaving when you’re 4/5 down before half time
