Pochettino sacked

This is a mistake for Spurs. Pochettino had them finishing top 4 and in a CL final.

Something happening behind the scenes over there. Tripper alluded to it.

Pochettino punching the ground with frustration when Spurs drew against Liverpool near the end of the season in 2016, remains fondly in the memory.

Goodnight sweet Argie Prince, we'll not see your like again.

Until you rock up at Old Trafford in about a fortnight

Jose Mourinho be in there by the weekend

I doubt Levy will want to pay the salary Mourinho will demand.  Things haven't been right at Spurs but they will miss Poch.  I expect we'll see some players following him out of the door.

There were similar comments made when Ranieri was sacked.

They’ve been bloody awful since the start of the calendar year. If it wasn’t for the CL Final, he would’ve gone before now.

Would be surprised to see Mourinho go there. He’s traditionally needed to spend big, and Levy won’t give him the funds.

Nagelsmann seems like their kind of guy.

He's been a dead man walking for a while, alluded to it pre-Champs League Final saying he'd leave Spurs if they'd have won it, and various other happenings at their Club. Levy clearly hesitant to pull the lever given the severance fee but it must've just reached boiling point .

It could be a healthy move for them though, a club in transition after their stadium development but with cobwebs around the gaff, matchday revenue now one of the best around. An opportunity to get a manager with a new plan to reshape their squad. I do hope they get a burnt out Jose in though, spend all their money on flops and sack him off two years later with their play tepid and losing more big monies sacking him

Say what you want but he is a bloody decent manager , in fact one of the best around

If Man U had any sense at all they’d snatch him up ASAP.

They have one wank right back, an average keeper (I mean Gazzaniga, Lloris is horrific these days) centre backs with eyes elsewhere, a declining left back, a superb central midfielder but his mind is elsewhere, one good wide player and a striker that is chronically injured because they rush him back. Pochettino lost his way a bit but that squad is f ucked. It's like ripping the plaster of a severed artery, it was doing it's best but you need surgery to fix it. Can't see the Mourinho rumours being true, he likes a big budget and Levy doesn't give a manager them, if he gives Mourinho money to spend but not Poch then he's a bigger cretin than I thought

.. there was a rumour that the players were not happy!!

They were unhappy with the training that was being implemented where they were being beasted and lacked variety in the day to day schedule. It was suggested that it was the case back in 2015/16 that this relentless schedule was in force and could well have contributed to them blowing up at the end of that season.

Pochettinio only seems to know one way of managing his players and will encounter the same issues at his next job.

Agree. He achieved so much with a shoestring budget.

But they dont have the sort of money Mourinho would like to spend, so not sure he is the right fit for them.

Yup. He signed no one the summer before last and still finished 3rd.
