I don't even know what team we should try and pick for tomorrow, ideally one that contains as little players as possible that we want for Tuesday and next Saturday.

Ward

Justin

Hughes

Morgan

Fuchs

Choudhury

Gray

Praet

Dewsbury-Hall

Albrighton

Hirst

Subs: Iheanacho, Eppiah, Kapustka, Jakupovic, Leshabela, Evans, Barnes

Scary!

Brentford have announced their squad for the game. Basically they’ve rested all of their first team ahead of their Tuesday game against Forest. Hopefully our better squad depth should see this through!C7BB69B5-B3D1-4163-BBD9-2AB13C5CB1A7.thumb.jpeg.92dd9581a5e6b7e011bc5c27cbab861b.jpeg

Looking at the line up from their last game only 4 of the starting 11 are not in that squad.

They're chasing automatic promotion and have Forest in the league on Tuesday.

Tavares training with first team.

Sounds like a talent we don't want him to go elsewhere. Give him some hope so he signs a long contract then he can go back to the U23's.

No strikers unless you count Perez and Gray Shame that even for Brentford it appears there are bigger fish to fry .FA cup is just not big enough financially to warrant an all out effort.

I honestly can't work out if you're a troll or just really weird.

Well I live under a bridge am partial to a bit of goat meat and keep a wolverine as a pet so make of it what you will. We have assets and I believe you should use them otherwise somebody else will get them and use them against us..

The only ones missing from the list are the keeper, Dalsgaard who is the captain, Benrahma and Watkins.

You have missed out Pontus Jansson and Mathias Jensen who both failed to recover in time from injury.

Said Benrahma has gone back home to be with his family, as his father passed away two days ago, so, in theory only Raya, Dalsgaard and Watkins are rested, still makes a good squad, although we want to do well in the cup, promotion is our main aim, as we are keeping up with the pack.

The rewards of prem football are so mind numbingly vast for champs clubs like Brentford that it blows everything else out of the water, I can't blame them but it is a bit sad, maybe the FA need to increase the prize money but even if they doubled it, it wouldn't be close to the golden ticket.

A few years ago Teams would go 100% for the cup cos they knew they had little chance of winning the league, now just being IN the league is a jackpot.

City are in a perfect position this year, no euro games, league gone, very few injuries, great depth in the squad, nailed on CL spot.... If not now, when?

Why would they do that?

Actually quite smart. Maybe they think if they show that they are resting players we are more likely to follow suit.

Not sure it would really impact what we do but had Brendan been considering a strong team, he may now consider resting a few.

Why have Brentford announced their squad like this, giving us advance confirmation that they're resting a number of their key players?

Promotion has always been our first priority this season, to go with the opening of our new stadium at the same time, as already said on here it's the "Golden Ticket" chance to enter the Premiership, Brendan Rodgers is not daft, he would have realised we would rest some key players and would have planned accordingly, we still have a good few bodies to play, all names selected are in our 1st team squad, you also have your priorities.
