Trav Le Bleu Posted 7 February 2020 Posted 7 February 2020 "With all due respect" = "I'm not (****)ist, but"
Jimothy Posted 8 February 2020 Posted 8 February 2020 Whenever I hear comments like this from former players I always think its because they want their nations stars representing big clubs, and the exposure that brings. He wouldn't care if Man City rotated Ndidi each week and his form dropped off, and he was shit for Nigeria. He just want him appearing in Nike adverts, being a face on Sky adverts etc. The more exposure Nigerian internationals can get from playing at the "big" teams the more coverage and endorsements and therefore money the national team can pull in. Its purely selfish, he doesnt give a **** if it ruins Ndidi. I'm sure the Algerian FA love the fact Mahrez plays for man city and not us, even though he plays less, as his profile as a player has grown from being there, and therefore Algeria get a bigger profile. They want to see Man City/Liverpool/Chelsea etc next to players in their squads not Leicester, or any other premier league club.

Blue ROI Posted 25 February 2020 Posted 25 February 2020 N'didi has been a big loss to the team. Had he played any of the last 3 league games we might have had about 4 points at least.

Guest Cujek Posted 25 February 2020 Posted 25 February 2020 the thing is, people outside of Europe (especially in Africa) have a very strange view of European football. They totally and completely hooked on the "big clubs" they dont know any other clubs exist. we have witnessed this with the weird Algerians. I know some Nigerians, they all either support Man utd Man City or Arsenal, without exception, they also have no real clue about football. im not sure we (or the Mercury) should be giving this guy any attention.

Don't believe the Nigerians are as irrational as the Algeria lads. Mahrez was one of the rare superstars of Algeria. Nigeria has a much higher number of top level players.

Tiny earl Posted 6 March 2020 Posted 6 March 2020 Any news on his knee? Noticed they iced it as soon as he was subbed. Hope we are not risking him too soon and finish up with a half fit Wilf for the rest of the season!

StanSP Posted 10 March 2020 Posted 10 March 2020 How good was it seeing him back tonight ?! Dominating from him today and great to see him produce what we had been missing and have loved to see this season. Immense defensively to break up Villa play and get in tackles, win headers etc. Welcome back, Wilf!
CosbehFox Posted 10 March 2020 Posted 10 March 2020 He’s immense. His passing is now severely underrated and his ability to pivot between defence and midfield. I don’t think we’d have suffered as badly recently if Mendy was available to play that role whilst Wilf was out
lcfc sheff Posted 16 March 2020 Posted 16 March 2020 I really think the big clubs are gonna take notice of him whenever the transfer window opens, how much is he worth is the question? Priceless in my eyes but wonder where the clubs cut off point would be

My mind is going over 100 but id bet we would see cheeky bids in to 50 to 60 mill range. Roma with a 35 mill bid. Lol

Jaspa Posted 16 March 2020 Posted 16 March 2020 Transfer markt dot com rate him as our 4th most valuable player; behind Maddison, Youri & Chilly respectively. He's an absolutely crutial member of our squad though and given Champions League football we have to and should be able to keep hold of him. It's crazy how we just plucked him out of relative obscurity, it was obvious a few games in he was going to develop into a world class player. He's getting there with us and should be playing the highest level possible again to really prove his class.

Both of them have performed better and more consistently. How do they even calculate the value?
