Anderson is grumpy at best of times lol be fuming if he never gets the chance to get 600. I bet he doesn't give his mate as much shit as he does the batsmen when they drop.

How many has he had dropped between this series and the recent South Africa series?? Ridiculous.

I fear if it's Bracey after his overthrows earlier on!

Poor Jimmy!

This is what concerns me. You can't deny Buttler's keeping has improved to some degree this Test and obviously his impact with the bat was superb - and an proper Test innings to boot. But at some point such simple keeping errors are going to cost us. If his batting continues in the same way it has in the past two games then I'm convinced Buttler as a standalone top six batsman alongside Foakes with the gloves is a viable way forward.

I'm a huge advocate for just picking your best keeper.

Foakes must be scratching his head.

Buttler is amongst the runs though. I think the issue is with him, he is either keeping well or batting well, rarely both.

Lots of excuses being mate, but the Windies keeper has really impressed me; especially standing up to Abbas. Love that.

Why is the Windies keeper playing for Pakistan?

Haha! Apologies; I was whatsapping a mate about the Windies !!

I meant Pakistan. I really like Rizwan. Considering I doubt he's played a huge amount of cricket over here, I think he's batted and kept fairly decently.

Made a ton for Surrey this morning too. The way some pundits go on about him you'd think he was a complete bunny with the bat.

He's a fine cricketer. I'm not sure he'd make loads of runs at test level, but he's a much better keeper than Butler. Not got a downer on Butler, by the way, he's not a specialist keeper so its an unfair comparison really. I recognise the debate over picking the better keeper or the more dangerous bat (and the guy currently in the position) is one that runs and runs, regardless of the individuals. I'd tend to pick the better keeper.

Really should have won this game already without relying on getting a significant amount of play today (I doubt there will be any).

Doesn't look promising does it. Not only wet but also very dark.

Great stuff Jimmy, I think he's played a lot more matches to get those wickets compared to bowlers of different eras but that also shows his fitness, desire and consistency.

On Sunday they said he was close in terms of balls bowled to Murali when he reached 600.

Bowled 6 more than Murali to get his 600. Over 1000 less than Warne and over 4500 less than Kumble. Staggering achievement for a seam bowler.
