If he comes back unable to play or really below par it’s an issue. Otherwise it’s nothing

What are you trying to do? Jinx us tomorrow just so you can say I told you so? You sound like my dad.😂 or maybe just foxetalk getting the knives out.😀

Some of our fans are as bad as the media - especially towards Chilwell and Maddison. I bet there is plenty on here who have said this is a 'disgrace' have probably boo'd both maddison & chilwell this season.

This is surely worse than Maddison shagging a bird? lol

Unless he was inhaling Condoms just before...even worse after....

This whole saga is elitist bollocks. If he was bladdered and then there could be an issue.

But my understanding is the he was having a few drinks and socialising with friends at a nightclub.  If for example, he was doing the exact same thing at a trendy restaurant or the theatre (interval) it would not be an issue for the media. In fact, the media could classify him as some sort of intellectual, e.g. Le Saux reading The Guardian.

The last paragraph of the article, it's hard to know for sure as it's just a quote with no context but is Rodgers while defending Maddison then inadvertently warning Maddison that if he wants to beceome a real top player he needs to cut out nights out, alcohol, etc?

I'm not saying that definitely is the case, just that last paragraph and the fact Rodgers was really vocal at Celtic about players having to be 24/7 athletes, not drinking, etc makes me think a little bit that while he's obviously unhappy at Maddison being scapegoated in the media he's also not entirely happy with his choices off the park either.

So because he wears clothes the majority of us can’t afford, has mates who are also famous footballers, goes on holiday to affluent places because, you know, he can, he’s chasing the headlines? This take absolutely baffles me I’m sorry.

Seems like there were loads of players there. Why is Maddison singled out?

Anything to do with any Murdoch rag is political . Think about it.

My mate spent a night inhaling helium from balloons and he spoke very highly of the experience

I’d hate to be famous. Weirdos snapping pics of you to send to the paper and then your boss has to defend your private life to the world.

Not to mention millions of people know you, and have access to thousands of pictures of you, and can probably find where you live and work.

And in every million or so people some will be psychologically deranged and dangerous.

Can you simultaneously save me some time and give me a laugh?

Absolute disgrace that Madders has shown there can’t believe he’s gone and shown up the club...

... those tiny glasses he was wearing were a disgrace!

In what other country would the media constantly be trying to demonize their rising stars? It's all just so strange to me.

If he signs for united he’ll soon become the golden boy.

Honestly, this all seems to have started because JM snapped back at the Sun after the backpack story. Now they are working as hard as possible to make him look bad.

Classic British press

either

build them up to knock them down (Maddison)

or knock them down then build them up

He had a dig at them after they did an article about his backpack earlier this season and obviously the hateful rag were hurt by this and want to highlight everything he does.

We all know the ‘papers’ love to pinpoint someone and make comment on their every move. They did it with Beckham, Rooney etc and now it’s Madders’ turn. Notice how they’re all English players too. His clothing is flamboyant as well so they’re having a field day with him. The rags need to leave the lad alone.

No motivational speech needed for Maddison tomorrow night. He's going to be itching to I impress, night game, TV, first game after the break, could be good for us all this.

Obviously the media needs to sell stories but the hard on they have for Maddison is getting ridiculous.

Every article seems to try and show him in a bad light. He's just enjoying himself on holiday. **** off!

Mate his performances have bombed over last 2 months or so ! It’s well reported he regular visits to casinos and nights out the media don’t talk about Marc Albrighton like This you know why ? Cos he don’t get up to this stuff

I think he has some issues he needs to iron out off the field

Fascinating to see how he responds to this justifiable questioning
