Slow-motion videos are back!

I bet the interview panel for the video editing job had 'if they mention slow mo then award maximum points' for every question, including 'tell me about yourself'

Model answer

"Well I'm 35 years old, but to be honest with my life experience I feel a lot older, almost like my life has played out in slow motion..."

Wish we weren't to be honest. What's the point of risking the health of our players and their families for football in empty stadiums, if you need a football fix watch the Bundesliga.

To be fair, if someone with underlying conditions dies because I’m missing the football it would seem rather hollow

Unfortunately this applies accross a range of situations and jobs as now people who can't work from home should return to work.

Yesterday IKEA announced reopening shops and I'm not singling them out, it's just the last one I saw in the news, but someone could equally die as a result of a.n other going to purchase a bit of flat pack furniture. Ditto, there are tv programmes resuming filming. I can't imagine they'll have the level of protection and testing footballers are receiving.

Resuming training isn't without risk, nothing is at present but the alternative is everything non-essential stops until there's a vaccine or the virus is gone. It's a balance and we have to pray it's tilting favourably.

Its not really a thought you can think too much about.

Its up to the vulnerable to isolate themselves, I am not really sure how football and activities involving fit young healthy people is going to cause the death of the vulnerable unless then or their family are doing something they shouldn't be and mixing. :dunno:

If you apply that principal to everything:

  • You cant ever go on holiday by jet ever again as the fumes might kill someone with asthma
  • You cant ever drive a car again as it might kill someone with asthma or you might run someone over
  • You cant ever go out in the winter again if you have a sniffle as you might pass it on and someone might die.

You have to draw the line somewhere.

How many footballers might commit suicide if the clubs go bust and they lose their jobs? Same in real life.

Everyone being locked away isn't really helping. Protect the vulnerable, facilitate them to protect themselves. Let the rest of us get on with it.

Saw a graph today of excess deaths in under 45s, it is pretty much exactly the same as it normally is. The spike comes in 45-60 and 60+.

lolShows there is a clear need for barbers for reopen!

I bet there going to be a 7 mile queue outside each one when they do open. Going to have to book a week off work to have my hair cut. Its bad enough nipping to the shops for a loaf of bread.

I think the Mrs has passed the Best Looking Keeper crown to Timo Horn.  I’m more concerned about what extra pounds would mean for getting to shots and crosses.

Oh god maddison has one of those awful short curly beards.

I don't know who on here needs to hear this - if you have one of those short curly beards it doesn't look good. It looks horrible.
